As mentioned already by a few, it would be great to have an extra option after having a song all gold, to play it "blind", without having the fret numbers shown. There could be an option to make even the bouncing dot vanish from the screen while playing. By default I think it can stay, as it helps only with the timing, and the string to hit, which still forces you to remember what fret to play.
After finishing a song in this mode, it would be great to be able to check what went wrong. There could be two different kind of highlighting for notes that were played wrong, and notes that were good, but the timing was incorrect.
