Agree. The amount of actual instruction with this app is comically low. Let's Go Play = Good luck with that and go look it up on YouTube! I'm trying to figure out the strumming pattern on El Condor Pasa Level 5, and there's no explanation at all as to what to expect. Compounded by the fact it seems to change several times. Absolutely hopeless. I'm sure it's obvious for many, but if we already knew how to do it, we wouldn't be here! Currently trawling through the internet trying to find some sort of support forums etc. Seems to be consistent with Yousician ie Nothing

Agree with above. Yousician often changes strumming patterns mid song, that's very annoying and off putting when the aim of that particular exercise is something completely different. The platform is quite good for individual notes and lead, but completely hopeless for chords and rhythm in my opinion. My children are using Yousician, but once they've completed to a level we're happy with, I'll be cancelling the family membership

Agree. Too much emphasis on playing tabs across a screen and almost no explanation at all as to how/why a song or exercise has been selected and what you will learn from it

Agree. A broad selection of songs to play and substitute would be most welcome. I have achieved 1 star for "In the Hall of the Mountain King" Level 5, and their arrangement is so bad I never want to hear that song again, never mind achieve more stars. Play almost random notes, get a star, move on. Not exactly a great instruction technique

To the OP, FWIW I go directly into both my iPad and desktop app via an audio interface and don't normally have any issues with note recognition. Prior to using an audio interface that was however an issue for me too, so perhaps that's a solution for other users too.
I thought I'd respond to the comment, because in my opinion nobody at Yousician ever will! I don't even know if this forum is even monitored; I just flagged some obvious spam that had been up for weeks! I agree, I also provided feedback via the ITunes app store, and within a few days was told to "contact us" for help, despite not really needing any help, it just wasn't an especially positive review.
