Add Option to Disable Note Colors. Add this as a Challenge and Final Goal.
At the end people must be able to read a score without color coding. Therefore you should add an option to disable the note color coding. This should be an option you can always enable, and it should be a challenge which is part of the learning process.
At some point you should just enable the color coding in the training mode, but only show black notes in the perform mode.

Hi everyone! We have now added a third view for Piano that allows you to turn off the note colors. You can now read black and white notes. We hope this helps!
This is now available on the desktop (PC/Mac) version of the app and will be released on mobile devices soon!

Agree also. Actually came on to post this very idea. Funnily enough, I was watching an experimental cookery programme last night in which they asked members of the public to guess the flavours of different coloured ice-creams. People were guessing a host of different flavours, when they were all in fact strawberry. Not entirely the same, but the visual prompt is pretty powerful and actually a hinderance in my opinion.

The color coding makes it difficult for me to play with both hands. My mind focuses too much on the colors and I end up playing the wrong notes.

Definitely, our brain works color better than notes. ( hence there are traffic lights than GO, STOP notes). No point in becoming yousivisn piano player than pianist in real sense. Has stopped me going for subscription.

So I found when the saints come marching in on sheet music and I can't read the bass line. I am a flute player by nature and wanted to learn the piano. Started your app and got to level 3 both hands playing lovely and improving daily. But turns out I actually am terrible at playing it without being with your app. The app is suppose to be the equivalent of piano / guitar lessons. Why can't I play piano without your app. Then I realised that I had been relying on the colours so much I didn't need to learn the bass line notes and as such I won't be able to read music which means I can't play piano unless it's with your app. Sounds like you did this on purpose. I am slightly peeved at this.

This is literally the only thing that's keeping me from paying for a subscription.

Would really help as far actual note recognition.... Unfortunately, like the others, I've ended up associating the colors to keys.

I agree, I want to remove color coding it's confusing, I know you eventually get used to it, but it's not good for my eyes, I want to be able to disable it.

Totally agree, I've noticed that I'm actually learning the notes by their color rather than the correct way. I think there should be an option to disable it...

Definitely agree- this needs to happen. There's no point having sheet music mode if you don't even read the notes.

Please give an option to disable colors on the staff. This will greatly help us to truly learn to read music.
