Prevent the "Option Wheel" from hiding the notes while paused
When you hit pause the "Option Wheel" presents itself for you to select tuning, practice mode, etc... Well this also covers up a significant portion of the music score and the notes on it. Sometimes I need to pause and look at the notes while they are static in order to practice or memorize them. Having them hidden by the wheel doesn't help this.
I think you can do something to fix this. Maybe make the wheel smaller or maybe a different shape altogether so that you can see all the notes. Also don't cover the chord shapes while in…

Show what we played wrong like you did in Guitar Bots
In GB when you hit a wrong string, or the note was played wrong it would show you what was wrong so you knew it was wrong. Now I think I am doing it right and it says wrong and I have no idea why until I look at my hands and see oops I'm on the wrong fret, in the mean time I missed the next note in the song.

Chord checker before song
It would be extremely helpful if there was a way to play a single chord on the page where the chord diagram is before the song starts to see if you are playing it right and it is being recognized by yousician. So you would go to the diagram and click on the chord. Let's say Em. And just strum it once and yousician would either register it as a valid chord or somehow tell you what strings were off.
12 votesHi!
Thanks for the suggestions!
We have introduced chord trainers/ checkers in our latest update.
Please check Cowboy Chords 1 mission for E, Em, Am (Level 1) and later Rhythm path missions for other chords.

More advanced content in the mission path
I would like to see way more advanced missions (level 5 and upwards), both for lead, rhythm and the future knowledge path.
This way Yousicians is not only a learning tool for beginners, but a program you stick with for the rest of your guitar career, independent how good you are.
3 votesHi!
Thanks for the suggestion and your support!

Bends
I would love to see bends in the game.
That would be a major improvement, as it is (as far as I know) the only technique missing and finally it would be able to upload guitar pro files, without them being simplified.What would be great is to have feedback on the bends. Did I bend to much, or not enough (pitch). To early or to late (timing).
You could use a sine-like graph (pitch against time) above the tab were the desired bend is shown. In this graph you also plot the pitch actually played. So you can immediately…5 votesHi!
The Guitar syllabus version 2 is now out including the following updates:
- Complete intermediate course with levels 6-10 including new songs and new techniques (e.g. bends);
- Improved Basics course (levels 0-5);
- New game modes, e.g. chord trainers and lick trainers for all levels;
- Around 80 new tutorial videos.Cheers,

Music theory path
Develop the path for learning music theory linked with guitar:
- learn notes on the fret board
- practice scales (all types)
- quick knowledge tests on random chords shapes for instance

We are very proud to announce that the first level of the Guitar Knowledge Path is now out! Learn the name of the strings, find out what does the pitch do, be adventurous and take full steps (or move with caution in half steps) or get used to beats and bars, all part of the first level.
New levels will follow really soon. Questions or concerns? Follow the link below and get in touch with our support team:

Use This Technology For More Instruments
I think it would be great to learn to read music and play the piano. I was able to play the levels and efficently learn guitar in four weeks! Pretty amazing and now I really wish this platform existed for more instruments, specifically the piano.

Give us option to play new challenges in test mode first
Hi, I find that I need a few times in test mode before I can do the challenge mode. Can you give us the option to test mode at 50%, then 75% and then challenge mode? That way I have a chance to try before I actually try to challenge?

Relearning in missions?
It would be helpful when the user tries to click on a locked mission, if it asks the user if they have learned about a skill, they can say either yes or no.
When the user clicks yes, it unlocks that mission, if no, Yousician says, "Practice earlier exercises first."
1 voteHi!
You can take Skill tests to unlock missions and skip beginners’ content.
The skill tests are randomly generated so that you wouldn’t be able to learn them by heart. But our aim is that you should be able to finish the test if you can play the previous missions.

Improve chord reconigition
Yousician is very inconsistent about recognizing some chords - in particular Em and E. The Guitar Tuna app, which I think is affiliated with Yousician, is much better about this.
