    Hi Yousicians,

    Thank you for voting!

Bluetooth is now fully supported on the mobile (Android/iOS) versions of the app. Just pair your favorite headphones, launch the app, and get playing! :)

If you’re having issues or have any questions, please visit Yousician’s Help Center to contact our support team:

    Keep on rocking!

  2. Add MIDI keyboard support to Yousician Piano

Yousician Piano currently only works with the microphone, just like the guitar version. For those of us who only have MIDI keyboards, this makes it unreasonably complex to use. It would be great if support for MIDI keyboards could be added!

  3. Piano Version: Challenges and exercises

The piano version could use a series of challenges and basic exercises that are geared toward improving technical skill. Things like Random chord transitions, random arpeggios, expression skills (loudness, swing beats, sustain), coordination exercises, and sight reading exercises (forced note view...)

  5. 23 hours between sessions

That way I can play at the same time everyday instead of it getting later and later every time I play.

    Hello!

Thanks a lot for the feedback! We have received plenty of awesome ideas from our users!

Upon multiple requests we have decided to change the time between sessions for the free Yousician accounts to 12 hours!

Therefore from now on you basically can practice twice as often! :-)

The feature is already available to all our users, you may need to update the app to the latest version (iOS users will definitely need to do that to get the new timing enabled).

Please remember that once the lesson time is over you still can keep playing, but will not get any feedback.

Thanks again for your support and keep jamming!

    Cheers,
    Andrew

  6. Warm Up Routine

Supply a warm up routine each day user logs in. Finding myself getting mad at the game and myself getting stuff wrong that I got right the previous day. 20 mins of playing and I'm back to full speed.

  8. I would like to use a cable ou interface (irig hd, for exemple) with the yousician.

Using a cable or interface will keep a better connection with the app and give a better feedback to the student.

    Hi!

    Thanks for the suggestion!

You actually can use an adapter like iRig, Stealthplug or the Realtone cable (used in Rocksmith) with Yousician! These can help the game to recognize the sound, particularly when using an electric guitar.

Please read more on supported audio interfaces here:
    https://yousician.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202194932-Supported-audio-interfaces

    And here:
    https://yousician.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/201723861-If-I-have-an-electric-guitar-can-I-plug-it-in-

Hope this helps! I will close the feedback forum branch on this idea since it’s already implemented ;-)

    Keep jamming!

  9. In song practice mode, repeat with a 2 beat count

When practicing a song, the tabs repeat when the song finishes. It repeats so quickly, that I often miss the first note. A two beat count before the start would fix this problem.

    Hi Yousicians!

Thank you very much for your feedback! We heard you and I am happy to announce that we now have an option to enable a full bar count-in when playing songs in practice mode.
You can find the toggle “Loop lead-in” in the top right corner.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us through the support website: http://bit.ly/YousicianContact

  11. Bring back the practice button

I just updated the app, and the practice button is gone. I know I can change to practice mode while I'm in perform mode, but I find it easier to go into practice mode right from the start instead of taking a detour.

  12. Make the Daily Goal Time Based and Based on Stars

I sometimes spend days (2+ hours per day) getting practice in on a song/level before I actually play it in Perform mode. It would be nice if my daily goal (which is ideally not just based on the usage of perform mode) factored this in. A daily goal should be based on guitar time in general trying to get better at a specific technique, and in many cases that is done slowly while "practicing", not just on "I'm gonna play this at full speed, let's see what happens"

    Hi Yousicians,

    Thank you for your suggestion!

Your daily goal can now be customized to include either a number of stars or minutes that you want to achieve. If you choose time (10, 20, 30 or 60 minutes), the time spent while practicing is also counted towards the goal.

The goal can be customized by tapping your username on the top left side of the screen and then tapping the daily goal.

    Keep on rocking!

  13. Metronome In Practice mode

Is it possible to add a metronome in practice mode?

I get the idea of not having a metronome in performance mode. You need to feel the rhythm of the band and play of it, but in practice mode you first need to practice the feel and rhythm and an metronome is very important.

    Thanks for listening!

    Hi,

It is already possible to use a Metronome while in Practice Mode. Just pause the song and press the arrow pointing down on the top right side of the screen. Here you will see the Metronome option that you can simply tap and resume the song afterwards.

    Rock on!

  14. Remove Background Music

An option to remove background music so you only hear your instrument playing, so that way you learn the piece with less help.

    Hi James,

Thank you for the feedback! You can achieve this by entering Practice Mode and choosing “Mute Song”. This way you can still follow along with your instrument but you will not hear the backing track.

    Rock on!

    Hi,

Fingerpicking is indeed part of Guitar level 7 (Rhythm part). If you have playing experience and don’t want to go through all the lower level lessons, you can take a skill test to unlock more advanced content.

    Hope this helps!

  16. Ukulele - Slides

  17. Sheet Music Notation for Bass

I'm a bass instructor that teaches private lessons and when I saw you are now offering bass, I was very excited. But when I discovered that you only do the bass tab method, I was very disappointed. I teach my students to read the bass clef, and if this had a bass clef notation to learn by this would be a HUGE teaching tool for instructors and bass students.

Please consider adding bass notation for us bass players. Tabs make it easy, but no professional bass player plays from tabs. Bust out the notation and let's learn to play bass…

Hi awesome Yousicians, and thank you for your feedback!

I am very happy to announce that Standard Notation is now available for all string instruments (it has been implemented on Piano a while ago already).

Follow the link to our Forum to read more about it and please feel free to leave a comment there with any feedback you have:

  18. Sheet Music Notation for Ukulele

Echoing what was said for the other instruments! I can read music, and I'd like to associate notes with the written sheet music as well as with tablature and note names. Repetitive training makes the match automatic, and at that point I can start playing harp tunes on the ukulele.

  19. Show gold stars in song lists

Now it only shows 3/3 or 15/15, there is no difference if I've gold starred the song or not.

I would like the star icon to be golden. Would help me.

  20. Weekly challenge leaderboards based on experience Level

I like the idea of the challenges, but for a beginner like me they are completely demotivating - because more experienced guitarists fill the leaderboard with perfect scores within hours of the challenge being posted. I would like the challenge leaderboards to only show those at your current skill level - so if I'm level 3, then the leaderboard only shows those on level 3. Alternatively leave the challenges open to anyone, but only those at or below the level of the challenge can post a score. So for example a level 10 guitarist is ok to play a level…
