  2. Ability to choose to remove the name of the cords when practicing to memorize the notes of each cord better

Memorizing the cords position on the scale is hard because it's name is always witen above the scale so I'm used to see the name not the notes that represent the cord on the scale. I ask you to add a feature that allow me to remove the name of the cord above the scale so every user can memorize the notes instead of the name because in usal we don't find the name of a cord upper the scale in music books and scales

  4. Yousician team should be more active with the community

I find it very surprising that Yousician can afford not to actively foster the community of users and customers they have. I don't really see any comments from the Yousician staff to any of these ideas posted by users (it's free product development feedback!), nor do I see Yousician being active on the discussion forums. I understand that some decisions like removing the user generated content may not have been popular, but typically I would at least expect some basic level of decency with a proper thank you for the feedback even if there are no plans to react as…

  5. Touchpad two finger scrolling

Scrolling through the song lists and screens on a laptop is quite awkward, having to move the cursor to the edge of the screen and then hold a click and scroll.

Would it be possible to add functionality to scroll with a double finger swipe on the touchpad?

  6. Song length

Please give an indication of the song duration in the 'progress panel'; also indicate the current time during progress or when you move the cursor (like a classic player).

  7. Make a subscribtion that includes all popular songs but only includes one instrument.

Because many people like me can't afford to pay for premium+ just to get popular songs. Most people using yousician want popular songs but only want to learn one instrument, so I suggest we have a subscribtion between premium and premium+ which includes all popular songs but only one instrument of choice.

  8. Notifications - instrument and app specific

Allow us to view notifications as per the instrument we have selected in app, rather than all notifications across all instruments showing up in the same list.

On mobile, only show ukulele notifications in the ukulele mobile app, piano notifications in the piano mobile app and guitar, bass and singing notifications in the Yousician app.

When checking the notification, stop the app from switching your instrument, if the notification is about an instrument you are not playing in that session.

  9. Advertising to get funding for the app instead of charging.

Acorn is an app is is essentially free to use to invest, store, and budget your money for free.
YouTube is a site that shows us user created videos for free. Both of those companies made deals with other companies and artists by accepting their funding instead of accepting funding from their users. Yousician has the potential to acquire new music, new teachers, and advertisers by allowing artists, record labels, and manufacturers to push their product during, before and after each lesson. The revenue from those interactions should at least bring down the cost of learning on this app

  10. Piano Sustain Pedal Support

Yousician Piano currently lacks any mention of the sustain pedal, which is important for making songs sound good. At some intermediate point in the piano learning tracks I'd like to see an instructional lesson on how to use the pedal, and at least for MIDI devices some feedback on whether it's being used correctly.

  11. Cord Shapes on Strings

When the ball is rolling to a initial Cords first three strums indicating frets shape for a C it would be helpful to show the notes on the strings as to assist in memorization of the shape. That is just include yousician shape guide that already exists at the top of the screen and lay it over the rolling fret string guides first three strums only.

  12. Instrument control of the app (restart song etc)

instead of having to tap on stuff in the app, you should be able to use your instrument to navigate. For example:

    note for up

    note for down

    note for select

    note for back

  13. Ghost notes (dead notes) lessons for Bass

It would be awesome to have lessons on muted/ghost notes. Muting is talked about briefly, but really we need lesson videos, and SONGS to play with these muted notes. Almost every genre has bass playing with "ghost" notes which are muted notes played for bass and there are a few songs in Yousician with them, but there is no lesson. It seems a huge omission. Lesson and lots of practice songs with muted notes. Once these lessons and songs (at various levels) are there, then any song with muted notes can be played (Premium Plus songs have muted notes [e.g.…

  14. List the song tempo / rhythm and key

Just showing the tempo (number), rhythm and key for a song. When I'm trying to play a song in Yousician from memory, it would be nice to have this basic info.

The singing lessons helped a rookie like myself but they are not as expansive as the guitar learning path. I need more lessons for singing please.

  17. Transpose notes feature

Even in the beginning there are a lot of songs in different keys. This adds additional difficulty for a beginner, who hardly knows one or two scales. So the function that automatically transposes notes to any key will help beginners to play songs they like and have more practice. A lot of electronic pianos and synths have transpose function, so using this feature should be easy.

  18. Weekly challenge for Premium+ songs

For those of us who are motivated by some healthy competition the weekly challenges are a big part of what makes Yousician fun. So when playing the Premium+ songs you sort of miss the competition a bit.

Adding another weekly challenge for Premium+ songs shouldn't require too much development work. And it would also be a great way to introduce new Premium+ songs.

  19. Different Instruments on Different Platforms

I use Yousician on multiple platforms (Mac/PC/iOS). Each one is set up for a particular instrument. When I change instrument on one platform, the others change too. I'd like the instrument selection to be saved on each platform so that I don't have to keep switching when I change platforms.

  20. Option to control backing track volume on guitar/bass/piano/uke/singing

Let's say I play a song for the first time. Hearing the instrument sound played in the mix is nice to have, as it gives an idea of how I'm supposed to sound. Once I learned it, it would be great if I could control that backing track volume with a slider, even mute it, so I can hear all the details of my playing in the mix.

These backing tracks with the instrument playing the same notes tend to mask mistakes that would be heard otherwise.

this feature could be implemented automatically to the instrument one is learning.
