Premium songs
I guess it is time to upgrade yousician and add premium licensed famous songs. I would definitely pay extra for professionally done tabs (with all the right chords and color coding) and the original song as background music, preferably with the option to mute the original guitar.
You could charge less for members and once bought we would own the song forever.
Another really fun and motivating option is to show after each level, which famous songs we should be able to play.
(For custom songs it is often frustrating that the color coding or chord names are not correct or the parts are way too long. Also the sound quality is mostly bad.)

We are happy to announce the inclusion of famous songs in Yousician. These songs can be accessed by users with a Premium+ subscription, which includes unlimited lesson time for all instruments and access to famous songs.
Note: Famous songs are being gradually rolled out and are not yet available for all users worldwide.
Keep on rocking!

You forgot to mention, that you deleted all, but really all user songs, that ever existed. You are really bad to si that. I canceled today my subscription. I will look for an alternative and just use yousician for training some skills, for free! No all of me, no ed, nobody popular there. You guys are really a joke to me. You are really greedy. I hope, that many others will also cancel and that some competitor will destroy you greedy guys.

Hey I unsubbed to yousician a few months ago, and now I'm hearing that 'famous songs' are becoming a thing now on this app.
Can anyone tell me if that means a small selected few songs are provided, meaning only a small selection of songs are available?
or does this mean I would be able to find the songs I'm interested in a wide variety format, like arctic monkeys

Hi, How can you see all famous songs together?

Lets take this to the next level. Yousician should license libraries for use just like Pandora, Apple Music and youTube. Pay an additional (low) monthly fee and ALL published content is available.

Here are a few of the songs that would improve membership. I get these off another app I tried before finding Yousician.
It wasn't much fun but they have a ton of songs.
After only six months of piano lessons at age 62,
I have determined Yousician to be the best thing there ever has been for beginners as well as experience players.
This is all Yousician could use, more classic songs.
Please add these and more for beginner piano.Morning
Stary stary night
Piano man
Star Wars
Jurassic park theme.
The end of the world
Will always love you
Falling in love with you.

Most definitely! The software is genius but I simply refuse to pay a penny until professional versions of my favorite songs are available. I've played guitar for 16 years and I know from experience that 90% of people will quit if they are forced to learn songs they don't like/know. It's insane not to pursue this. If Rock Band and Guitar Hero can get licenses for popular songs why not Yousician? I disagree with the in app purchases though. Maybe add an optional fee to the base subscription to unlock popular music catalog? You could even contract the work of transcription out to more experienced users in exchange for subscription discounts. For sure, most beginners will know nothing about reading traditional notation but personally, if I was given a reliable tab along with rhythm notation, I would be happy to transcribe a song(s) for the right price or discount. If you were to add a thorough path for music theory knowledge, along with great exercises to apply the knowledge, you'd be able to attract the more experienced users you need for the task of transcribing thousands of songs. I know there are plenty of other string players like myself that have given up on sight reading traditional musical notation, while excelling in other areas of their instrument. Your software has made the process of sight reading way more intuitive and has the potential to be a superior alternative to traditional notation. With a few more features, it could also be an awesome compositional tool for writing down creative ideas or arranging whole pieces of music. This software, although genius, could be so much more.

As I increase in skill I want to be able to play some mainstream songs (not just traditional like "Happy Birthday"). I see a small selection like "As my guitar gently weeps" and some Ed Sheeran but the selection is slim. I'd be willing to pay per song above and beyond my monthly subscription for the correct tab, vocals, and instrumental accompaniment.

This app is expensive as it is and it is a success so the money is already there! I think increasing the price will put people off going premium and I hate in app purchases, I wouldn't buy in app on principle.

That will be great, I felt quite disappointed when I went to premium and there weren't many songs available.
I think yousician should put a bit more of focus in this area, adding more songs and make sure there are a good mix of songs with quality for practicing chords and finger picking.
At the moment chords songs are hard to find.
