Ability to change the finger color coding
In some cases the finger color coding is not optimal. It would be good to have the option to change the colors according to your playing style. This is especially useful for imported songs. It can be annoying to see the wrong colors and it takes away concentration.
You can always include the option 'reset to default'.

Just let users have some options instead of always trying to force everybody into the same thing. Add some colour options that users can choose from.
One size fits all fits nobody, open up some options for users.

New colors are confusing and taxing on my eyes. Couldn’t even play for 30 minutes. Ruined my enjoyment of this otherwise great tool.

couldn't agree more. Sometimes I think changes are made just for the sake of it.
If it aint broke - don't fix it! -

I agree with all of the comments that have been written here.
It was good, why change the colours?
It's demotivating, and playing an instrument is already a big (fun) task, don't make it harder then it already is -

You have already implemented this feature for piano but tabs are still colored for guitar. This distracts me and makes learning songs harder. Please add an option to disable finger coloring.

I agree 100%. I knew I couldn't be the only one having difficulty distinguishing between the new color palette. I like the proposed solution. Go back to the old color scheme or allow users to select their own colors.

These colors are much harder to distinguish, the old theme was great. Plus the old color theme is still showing up in the video tutorials! I'm having a harder time getting through songs, and I've also been playing less because using Yousician is less appealing to me now.

Thank you. I track my daily activities and noticed that since the colour change my usage of yousician has quickly dropped as now to use the software I'll have to go back to standard musical notation and honestly when it comes to that I find eMedia Method has better feedback and smoother operation. It's really the yousician enhanced interface that kept me using yousician and now that has become unusable for me.

Some of the new colors are to close and by that difficult. The other colours are strange in the colour choice in general. The primary bright colors have enough differentiation to recognize and remember the color for the specific fingers. Now it's hard to play. For I don't remember the colors and by that the fingering but also it's hard to find the on the piano.

So close to. I already started looking into alternatives. Why change something that was working fine. At least give us the option to switch between the two. -

I totally agree: The new colour theme is not good for me learning the piano. I have been training for 11 months now: "green = thumb, red = pinky, ...". Changing the colour theme made all my learning worthless. This is a big step backwards learning the piano for me.
I think the idea to let the user select individual colours great idea. Maybe you could provide some predefined colour themes, too.

The new pastel colours are terrible with update 2.58. The green and aquamarine blue (thumb and ring fingers) now look nearly identical which makes it really hard to play! Allow users to go back to the old colour scheme or allow users to choose the individual colours they want to use per finger and provide a full colour palette to choose from.

The concept of the application is great - but I too have a great trouble with the colors the game uses.
The current "colorblind" settings may help some people, but I hardly see any difference. Developers - please - allow users to choose their own color-palette. -

As I progress this is becoming more essential for me. I'm building my finger style library and the automatic coding of fingers is good but not good enough. I would like to be able to edit the finger value for each note. The fact that you can't do this is becoming an irritation.

Completely support this! Please let me change which color represents which finger!!! My brain is too used to a different color pattern. Thanks!

This addition would be tremendous. As others have said, uploading a song with a specific fingering pattern is critical to capture the intent of some training exercises. Please consider adding this feature!

This is a good idea, particularly in piano. The SongCreator isn't even available for piano users. I had no idea Guitar and other users could import trademarked songs straight from Youtube to play as a backtrack!!!!!!!!!!! Yes changing finger numbers would be nice. Having a way to compose piano songs for Yousician that doesn't entirely suck from top to bottom would be even better.

+1,000,000 for the ability to change finger coloring for songs in create mode!!
I'm so excited at the potential for using this app to teach lessons. I think kids might actually be excited about practicing at home.. BUT this technicality is a big problem for teachers making lesson plans!
I created a test song for hot cross buns and it did not keep the finger colors consistent or logical throughout the piece. And sometimes you want a student to practice in different hand positions (but same frets). This would require customization.
PLEASE WORK ON THIS YOUSICIAN! You guys rock!
