I think that Yousician should change the actual colours to previous ones. Previously, the Play screen was "aqua marinha", a color between blue and green but now, it is grey. It gives the solitude sense, because there are missing colours. This is another reason why I want the previous color palette back.

So i was directed here after voicing my displeasure with the color change only to find that I’m not alone, so now my concern has shifted to when will this be changing???

My kids of 7, 5 and 4 loved this app and playing piano! They even liked this "game" more over Mario. They were constantly trying to play it perfect and getting all the gold stars.

After the color "update" things changed. They are having trouble with the recognizing the notes and are getting tired more quickly.

Please youcisian please fix this. Bring back the old colours and the calibration screen!

Many of Yousician's songs are clearly wrong, and I feel it is having a detrimental affect on how I am learning. It is obvious that many songs have not been checked for their quality.

I have raised individual errors to Yousician via their support process and they have been ignored.

If Yousician is not interested in fixing their songs, then at least they could add the ability for us to manually add corrections to the songs, whether shared with others or just for ourselves, it would really help.

After three days without practicing due to colors, found an alternative (synthesia), which is cheaper, has better support of my keyboard and better learning approach.

Currently moving my current songs there. My subscription ends at the end of Nov, not going to extend it.

My daughter is 6 with partial cataracts. The low contrast between note colours makes seeing them very difficult.

May you use at least that logic - Separating Middle Color from other and at the Extreme side having a Dark Color and close to each Dark fingers the associated Light one ?
Pinky => Red Dark
Index => Red Light (Pink)
Middle => Blue Dark => Play the role of Pivot : A Unique Specific Dark Color between Light ones
Ring => Green Light
Thumb => Green Dark

Do the colors the way Rocksmith did: dark blue/gray background with primary colored notes. I play that 3 hours a day with zero eye difficulties.

Literally looks like my printer is running out of ink, not to mention the fact I can’t even settle before the song starts. Some of us are still beginners that need that opportunity and guidance and it’s like they’ve pulled the rug out for the sake of change and it’s dumb.

I haven't played in a few days over the color change. I thought perhaps it was to improve and not to become complacent. However I have not played because of the change.

Horrible colours

Also on performance mode for piano, chord names are very hard to read as are white text with a black boarder on white. Why can’t they be simply black?

I don't like the new colours but it doesn't worry me too much as I use black notes.
BUT-- PLEASE change background colour scheme in practice mode so that short ledger lines can be seen. This has been requested many times. If Yousician can waste time re programming unwanted colour changes, why can't they fix this?

I would really like custom colour scheme - and first thing I would change both the fingering colours AND Practice mode background colour too: I can't see dark/short ledger lines on the dark color!

Ledger lines should be longer and made easier to distinguish.

I’ve been on this app since it first came out. Imagine learning the colors from the beginning and now I’m all confused. It’s throwing my playing/fingering completely off

Please consider a dark theme. Similar to how your app looks on the entry screen and song select screen. The light colors of the background are incredibly taxing on the eyes.

Additionally, if you could categorize your colors using a group tag and a level of indirection into some tag map, then it would become trivial to allow users to configure the various group colors in the settings and the app would automatically switch out any use of colors by that tag. It would require a replacement of anywhere the colors are used in code, but would ultimately be worth it in the long run if users had the ability to customize their color scheme.
