Just Play, Play Correct, Play Perfect option
I would like to see an option added to the settings.
Play Correct - when enabled it should restart the song or part of the song I am playing whenever I hit the wrong note, timing is not an issue.
Play Perfect - when enabled it should restart the song or part of the song I am playing whenever I hit a note at the wrong moment or just the wrong note
Something like
Code: Select all
Play Mode: - Just Play
- Play Correct
- Play Perfect
This will be a great help when trying to get high score or just try to play a song perfectly timed. It prevents having to go back and forth between the keyboard/mouse and guitar.

Right now i am learning different chords and how to efficiently transition. As I'm playing along with the app i end up missing my que which makes me either just stay on the same cord knowing I'll mis it or try for the next chord and get way behind. I know i can just slow it down on practice but what would be more helpful is if the song would pause until i catch up to it like when you first start using the app.

What do you exactly want? Is it a feature where if you failed a note, the song waites for the note (ie if you fail a note, the song will stop and it only will continue when you play the note)? Well, if it's that, this really happens in Yousician, but only in the starter songs. This should be expanded for all songs.

Even better - learn to play it perfectly before entering into performance mode. No need to restart!

As I said, and I will say it again, this happens in Yousician, but only in the easiest songs, what make the benefits of it useless. So, this would be expanded to all songs.

Yes, this should be applied to all instruments. But this REALLY happens in Yousician, but only for the easiest songs. Try playing a very easy song. In that song, don't play a note or play the wrong note.Instead of that note turning red, you will see a talk bubble where it says "Play the note/chord". This talk bubble only will disappear when you play the right note. This would be essential for string instruments, but important for them all.

That happens in Yousician, but only in basic (levels 0 and 1) songs, just like Funky for You in piano and Love On the Rocks in guitar. Expanding it to all songs could be a great ideia.

I find that learning a new song can be frustrating because you need the song slow enough to be able to follow the more complex parts, but then it is too slow between sections and this can be boring.
Having Yousician pause until you press the correct notes would be ideal for the first few runs of learning a new long because it would essentially play at your pace.
So this is a great idea, thanks!

In practice mode you can always stop the song

Waiting is a perfect feature to discover a new song. When you read notes for the first time, you need no tempo at all. This feature is present in many piano learning apps.
This mode could enable when you slide the tempo to zero, with a special hint.

Toggle in Practice mode to have yousician advance to the next note and wait there until the right note is played,
IMO it will be most helpful in learning complicated songs especially for lead
for:
1) locating note and finger placing
2) control rhythm by playing
3) pause when not playing -

+1, needed feature ! They already have it :
- Flowkey
- Piano Maestro
- Piano Marvel
- Playground Session
- even Simply Piano...I prefer Yousician for many reasons, but this missing feature alone prevents me to subscribe.

I love my idea!! And my 4yo son does too!!! :-)

This feature is currently available on the first songs only so it doesn't get too overwhelming for new players. But it is currently not possible to enable the feature on all songs.
But this would be great especially for the small ones. My 4yo loves yousician but he get's too confused when the song doesn't stop.
Please enable this feature for the children, they need it and LOVE IT!
Thanks

The same for me. I tried Yousician, but with Piano Maestro and its “hold on” mode I have the time too see my mistakes and I can therefore learn a song much faster. That’s a pity because Yousician is more “adult friendly” and it has got a huge library. Moreover, the “wait for me” mode is a very basic feature, I think, so I can’t understand why they won’t add it...

All the comments seem to be for guitar but I would like it for piano. Other piano practice programs have it ( like simply piano and piano maestro, etc. ) it is called 'hold on' so the musics holds on the note or chord until the user plays it correctly then moves on. Very useful for learning new pieces. Thanks

In the introduction, the song pause when you miss a note. It would be great if this feature is added further on in later lessons.

I would like that in practical mode there would be an option for the reproduction to wait until the correct note.

Hey there!
What about an option to restart automatically whenever a note/chord is wronged? Useful when you wanna gold your song, eh.
