... should implement an option to change numbers into note-names.
I was just getting the hang of it with "Guitar Bots" and some additional learning.

Hello,
Thanks for the suggestion and support!
The feature has been implemented in the standalone version of Yousician and will be soon released in the mobile versions too.
Should you have any questions please drop us a line to support@yousician.com.
Keep on jamming!
Cheers,
Andrew

I like this idea, a lot. Frankly, I think if you're going to be a musician who plays with other musicians, you have to have some comprehension of music theory. I get that this is a game-ification of a complex and difficult subject. I get that too much theory would scare people away. I was one of those people. But understanding theory -- and being able to express yourself with that understanding -- is what makes you a musician who can play with others. Please, please, add this feature and I'll be all over a monthly membership. Without it, this is just a toy and a way to *think* that you're a musician. Give us the option to take off the training wheels.

Why does the gutair section only have TAB? I'm not so crazy about my daughter using it. Her instructor wants her to learn the notes... And sight reading sheet music. The tab is just kinda a game,

Yes, please !
Standard notation would be welcome :-) -

Please do a music notation for guitar option, a full one (staff, cleff, notes, key, bars, etc) for advanced players the songs are pretty lame... But reading them in musical notation would improve the app a lot!!

I would also prefer Notes AND Fretnumbers at the same time.

Please add the option to see the standard notation note in the "background" (where currently just "bubbles" are moving around and colors changing if I play wrong or right and ). I think I have seen it in the piano version (Screenshot)!?
Because I want also start to lern playing based on standard notes... thanks! And so my brain can start learning while still playing the "old" way.
And in addition - please diplay the note names :-)
PS I'm paying for the app using iOS ;-)

Bernd Singer is right, both notes and the fret numbers, at the same time. That would be nice.

Standard notation as an option for advanced players would be great!

Note names is first priority for me. Your upgrades and new lessons are amazing. Keep up the great work.

Not having note names visible seems like such a strange choice, I certainly hope this is coming down the pike soon!
A nice side effect for me as a piano user would be the ability to play some of the guitar songs and challenges (of which there seems to be MUCH larger library) without having to transpose tabulature :) -

Or even Note names _and_ fret numbers...
yes, i miss it. Short before Guitar Bots has ended, i switched to using the note names.

I see for the piano version there is the option of reading notes in standard notation. I do not see this option for guitar. Is this correct? Will the option become available in the future?
Thanks for your time.

Absolutely! Please allow me to either switch to music notation exclusively, or at least place a staff above (for instance) the tabs. I'm very purposefully staying away from tabs while I learn music and the guitar. With actual musical notation, signing up for this at a year at a time would be almost automatic for me. With the tabs only, I'm still on the fence...

True, this would be useful.

+1 for real note names.

An option to change to sheet music instead of tabs would be great.
Or at least to display music notation at the same time as tabs.

Yes, this was the main draw of Guitarbots which truely made it a great learning tool. Using numbers just makes you repeat a pattern without knowing what your really playing. Please implement the option to swtich to note names instead of fret numbers

Yes I want notes! Can I go back to bots till this has it? Without notes, bots is way better and you scion almost a waste of my time
