Music theory path
Develop the path for learning music theory linked with guitar:
- learn notes on the fret board
- practice scales (all types)
- quick knowledge tests on random chords shapes for instance
Hi Yousicians,
We are very proud to announce that the first level of the Guitar Knowledge Path is now out! Learn the name of the strings, find out what does the pitch do, be adventurous and take full steps (or move with caution in half steps) or get used to beats and bars, all part of the first level.
New levels will follow really soon. Questions or concerns? Follow the link below and get in touch with our support team:

Rock on!

This has been 'coming soon' for an embarrassing amount of time now. This would be quite critical in deciding how long you can keep around more advanced players for I imagine.

It would be so good if you could start the knowledge path please :). I have been learning the guitar for just over a year and in the middle of level 4, but badly need to understand the theory now .

Scales please! theory is a must for every person who needs to play good and improvise, the lead and the rhythm paths are great! but we are waiting for the knowledge path

Seems like we've been waiting for this for far too long now. Could you at least release just a couple of levels of it for now?

knowledge path now!!! been waiting long enough

does anybody know if there's any kind of feedback from yousician about the knowledge path? it's been a long while since we've been waiting on that.

I'd like to see this implemented as well, but I want more than just scales. Specifically I'd like to see exercises for learning chord sequences such as the I thru VII chords for each major & minor scale, and popular chord progressions such as I-IV-V et al.

to call the app "yousician" and imply that you are building musicians is quite comical without any theory attached to the skills of simply following color coded tablature. As an intermediate player trying to learn how to play "lead guitar" the finger exercises are great! I have played more notes in the last week than i have in the last 20 years, literally. I am a rhythm guitar player that was playing just enough to accompany my vocals. But now I am finally committed to learning how to play lead and this format is the perfect vehicle to do so. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, figure out a way to launch theory relevant modules that force you to learn the theory while in the "game-like" format. It makes too much sense NOT to do it!!!! Don't worry if it isn't perfect, put out what you have in beta and let it rip!

The Knowledge Path in guitar has been "coming soon" for as long as I've been using Yousician. In the meantime three whole new instruments have been added, but STILL no Knowledge Path. I love all the upgrades added in the last months, but content is very important. I hope the Yousician folks are working on this, but I'm starting to give up hope. Please add this feature "soon." It has nearly 500 votes, so you know the users want this.

Theory about how the different chords and scales relate to each other please

Also will it have ample scales to learn and then perhaps challenges to play solos using the scales just learnt?

In the beginning, there is a video that tells some of the notes on the guitar. I think that is the only thing you mentioned, that is available as far as I know.

It's been a while since the knowledge path has been updated?
When can we expect new content?
Thank you!!Frederik

This entire idea with the ability to play at your own speeds.

This seems like a great idea to implement. Maybe some CAGED theory and ear training too. I have seen posts of almost a year old suggesting this. I wonder if it will ever see the day? Seems simple enough to implement. Sure paying subscribers expect it at some point?

"This is so important to me. I've been using yousician and it's great, but when I want to learn the music theory behind things, I have to pull myself out of the whole system and try and figure out where I can get what information and hope I can piece it all together. With yousician, I feel like I'm missing a key part of what it means to be an actual musician and I think yousician could really fill in that gap with some good theory paths." (2) Tks Maliik.
