Add a way to say thanks in the uservoice system!
There’s no way to just compliment the implementors! So I guess the feature request is ‘Add a way to say thanks in the uservoice system!’
I’m about 5 weeks in to learning guitar with Yousician and really enjoying making noise.
The instant feedback that the system provides is super helpful. Yousician is to personal instruction as ATMs were to bank teller interactions. Ok, so I’m old enough to remember the introduction of ATMs! No doubt personal instruction is better. But I love it that there’s a ‘robot’ doing what an instructor would do, on my schedule and without guilt if I demand more help or my schedule forces me to skip a scheduled lesson. There are things that robots are just better at - like listening to my squwaking notes as I take baby steps. Over and over!
Great concept - I think! Are there any study results/data that say it actually works (ie speeds skill acquistion)?
I guess ‘works’ could also mean: takes just as long as any other method, but improves the odds of success by motivating users to stick with the effort for longer (ie better ‘yield’).
Any academic studies published on these questions yet? And if so, got citations?
If not, no matter - it’s fun, and that’s a good enough reason to stick with it.
I’ve been involved in some big tech projects - clearly a ton of work has gone into Yousician. Thanks for all the effort!
- Jim
