Allow completely disabling MIDI synth
I am using MIDI over USB so i can hear my pianos original sound and yousician as well. In the song mode, users have the option to silence the midi synth but then in the rest of the app I hear both my keyboard and yousician's MIDI synth which is quite annoying. It seems like it would make sense to allow users to disable yousician's synth altogether or just respect the midi setting across all surfaces of the app.

How has this not been addressed yet? It's been years, and there's no way this is a difficult change to implement.

Yes, it is extremly anoying. Please implement that function to turn off in the settings completly

Put simply: without that feature in the app, there is no way I am subscribing to the paid plan. Just a must-have.

As with many other posts here, I think it is an obvious design flaw that needs to be corrected.
Most people want to use MIDI for accuracy, and many of us have a device that generates sound, we don't want the cheap built-in sound from the Yousician app. There should be a setting to turn off the built-in sound completely. Right now you have a mixer, this mixer does not work in all situations and needs to be readjusted often. When playing the notes before an exercise or song the built-in Yousician piano still plays even though the mixer is at 0.
When a user has their own sound device they don't want to ever hear the piano sound from the app, just the click and accompanying music. Making this an option in the settings would alleviate processing power from the device saving battery life. This option should be sticky so when turned off it should never play, in any situation.
I am on an iPad, not sure if this is an issue on other platforms.
Also, there should be a separate forum for each platform as there seems to be platform-specific issues here.

Totally agree with this feature request - app synth makes my expensive keyboard sound tinny and poor quality. I like to practice, or show my family the things i just learned whilst in the menu, but the sound is too jarring.
