Preview lesson before playing
I would love an option to see and listen to music BEFORE attempting to play it for the first time.

maybe you miss "play it for me" option

I totally agree. It makes it easier for me to learn patterns in a song, chord progressions and so on, by being able to view a song before playing. Being able to print a PDF copy would be very helpful.

I get around this by playing songs on my Echo beforehand, but it would be cool to be able to listen to the same version as the app has.

Add an option to see the entire song tablature/notes or so can review areas where have difficulty in advance of playing it. That way make real progress by addressing the issues

How is this different from practice mode?

I encountered another example of this: in guided lessons, particularly the "Explore" stage, Yousician proposes specific songs to play. Yousician offers "Skip" as a choice, but there's no way to preview the song from that presentation screen.

I just hope you get enough votes for this to come true!

Agree, maybe an option along the practice and perform option to add an option to see the entire song tablature/partiture or at least the first part so you dont get any surprises and spend 2-3 tries on practice just to get a feeling of the song....

Practice mode already allows that.

Some learn better by seeing the whole picture first. It’s frustrating to only have the scrolling line.

when i learn a new song outside of yousician,
i look at the tabs as a whole & check out the range of the song.
so then i know which positions i will be fretting in.
that helps in figuring out which finger should predominantly cover what fret.
if you get dunked into a song without knowing,
often enough, your in for a surprise.
please do it like in the piano version where before each song you see a spreadsheet with all the notes to be played in the song.
(for instance a fret board style tab)thanks!

I'd like to be able to watch a song without it counting toward my minutes; that way I could be at work and going through what songs I may want to learn next.

Hi, Is there a way of listening to tracks before attempting to play or sing along with them? It is really frustrating to try to learn something you've never heard before so can't predict how it should sound. I use Ukulele and vocal

Yes I miss that also

I miss the preview of the chords/frets before I play a song in preformance mode. I know it used to be there, but it somehow vanished.
I'd like to get a quick overview of the notes to be played to "sort" my hand and get into the right hand position. That would help me a lot.
Often I don't want to cycle through the practice mode to get that info.
Any kind of overview would be fine! -

I noticed there is a similar function ONLY for songs which are "cowboy chords", but only when you go into the song. All songs should have a little play button directly in the list.

I look for songs I want to learn, but after finding something, clicking it, opening it, opening the practice mode, letting it play for a bit ("play for me" function), I find out I am just not into it, or it isn't what I want to learn right then. Takes so much time looking for songs. How about a little "play button" to get a song sample. Then you could hear the Youcisians play the song and see if you like it and then go right into it, instead of searching around trial and error until you find a song you like to play.
