Since Yousician is able to pick up note sounds, I was wondering if it could recognize "Pause" , "Restart" , "Practice" , "Perform" commands so that we dont have to bend forward everytime - it would make life easier for beginners, especially those who get frustrated easily.

This would be a fantastic feature.
It is possible to use VoiceAttack for this if you're on Windows although it's a bit finicky so something native to the app would be fantastic. Even just being able to set a delay for the restart would be great.

This! Especially pausing and unpausing songs. Or at the very least we should be able to set a customizable delay for when we hit “play” again so we have a few seconds to get ready. Obviously disable that feature for the weekly challenges so people can’t use it to cheat.

Having a voice option to start or stop or restart the song to allow getting into position before first notes would be perfect. I can never get the button pressed, and my guitar and fingers ready and always miss the first few notes. Also tend to have some difficulty with the app picking up the notes I play. I've tried to adjust settings to make it easier to pick up but I still have issue with it and makes passing missions hard when it dont register.

I have a student who is blind, and voice control with audio response would be ideal for him! If you could integrate with Alexa, that would be even better!

When using a MIDI keyboard, it would be incredibly useful to be able to pause, continue and restart by playing one or more magical keys on the keyboard (e.g. in the highest octave not otherwise used).

Interface control via playing some sort of note combination (wether it is piano or guitar), or voice, to allow for preparing hands in position; and make the overall user experience more fluid.
I find this would help me greatly on my first stages, and would never stop being very convenient.

Personally I don’t like the idea of voice commands, I think it’s just another privacy lost, my suggestion would be to add a countdown when restarting after an interruption of some kind

Note control would do it for me, with voice control as a deluxe version.

Play "C" to continue. Underline the note just like windows underlines shortcuts in menus.

In the next software update would it be possible to add a feature where you can just say the word “restart” (or something similar) out loud when you want to start playing a song again if you make a mistake? This would be especially useful as a beginner when you don’t wanna lose the position your hands are in on the fret board to click on the restart button.

I knew this request had to have been submitted by others. As a fellow developer, I understand workloads can be tough to manage and priorities are always shifting. However this should be close to the top of your guys priorities.

You guys/girls have an amazing application for learning the guitar. Im a complete beginner at 31 years old and did extensive research and purchased several different learning programs (including Rocksmith). However, this app is hands down superior and I am gravitating towards using this as my main learning source. You guys need to add some voice recognition so I don't have to get up out of my chair, walk to the tv, restart, and then race back to my chair to catch the first notes of the song.

If this is not something that can be easily achieved, maybe you could program the G chord to restart a song/lesson/riff, maybe program a C chord select continue? Just some ideas.

If this is a large effort and not something is going to be prioritized, I like the idea others suggested about adding a configurable pause length before it starts. I'd still have to get up and walk to the laptop connected to the tv via hdmi between each 2 minute practice module, but it would eliminate the need to race back to my chair with guitar in hand, then hopefully make it on time. It creates bad form from the start.

Adding hot keys would be no different than what it is right now. Instead of clicking a mouse that is stationary over the restart button is no different than hitting a hot key.

Being paraplegic it would be a nice feature to restart the piano lessons and stuff without the need to move my hand from the keyboard. a pedal is no option for me

I agree with this request. To reach over to laptop and the focus on guitar is challenging when we have to grab the pick and align with tempo. Keyboard shortcut to start would be helpful.

Voice recognition is a very different animal. I totally understand if the cannot do it.

Yes please! Whether its voice commands or the song starts when you play the first note. something needs to be done.

It has been recommended several times to add a longer pause. Having it configurable is a great idea!
