Synthesizer sounds for instruments
The MIDI piano sound is currently set to a default 'piano' sound only, it would be great if users could select their own sounds from a palette of presets, or the sound would be switched according to the song style you play (e.g. when you're playing accompaniment, it changes to a string ensemble, for example)
It's always possible to connect an external synth, in which case Yousician can send the appropriate MIDI Program Change messages to select the proper sound which is bundled with the song.
It would be great to be able to choose between different sounds for the piano or make a link with Garage Band to choose different sounds.
Please make this update. If I want to play with my headphones on, the only output from my 2indows 10 PC is a super basic synth (assume thats windows default). You should be able to choose different sounds within Youscia
I haven't tried hooking my piano up via midi, but I think there's a decent chance you can turn that off by tapping the screen, then tapping "mixer", then turning the knob thing all the way counter clockwise.

I’m connected through MIDI, it’s good and all, but I’m getting two audios. One from my digital piano, one from Yousician. Obviously I want the one from the piano as it’s so much more natural and I paid big bucks for that. The synthesized audio feedback is so thin and artificial in Yousician, how do I turn it off after I know that it works?

The default windows piano sounds are horrible. I mean, really, really horrible. I use virtuasynth with a sampled grand piano. Much, much better. I can select that as the midi playback device for other apps like synthesia and it makes a whole world of difference as it actually sounds like you are playing a piano! Please add support for selecting the device to play midi through.
On pc, the midi sound of the attached keyboard sounds the same as the accompanying soundtrack. However if i switch the instrument on the keyboard to grand piano( any instruments 1-5 piano) my play still sounds the same. If more midi instruments would be supported, my own instrument would be more easy to distinguish from the soundtrack.
Request: use the midi instrument that is send via midi instead of default piano.
