Better stats & info about playing errors
Better playing stats to make it easier to spot and correct playing errors i.e.:
*Score per section
*Replay of notes you missed and have the app show why that chord/note didn't register.
*Stats on whether you tend to play notes early or late etc (timing accuracy).
*Song map or errors list that shows errors
*Missed strings when playing chords
*How many total notes you played at the end of it instead of just stars
Adding a per minute stat in the weekly email update and the stats page
How about adding a per minute stat in the weekly email update and the stats page. Its more useful seeing as how you dont always play the same # of minutes.
It is not easy to know why you did not get a note correctly. Since there can be 3 options (too early, too late, wrong note) can the app be changes so misses have different color according to the type of miss? This can also be applied while playing. Instead of writing too early/late just show it by color (or text with the corresponding color) so the reason will be clearer and learning faster.
Hi. The graphic that shows missed notes at the bottom of the screen disappears when you move on to a new song. It would be great if we called up a song in a Practice mode it was already populated with the previous playthrough graphics, so we could go straight to practicing problem bits.
+1 I think it would be rewarding to see the steady increasing trend of song level score/points
right now you can gold star each part in different takes and the score shown is the sum of the best time you played each separate part. they really need to make a separate marker for your best score playing the entire song in a single take. that's all, thanks.
I agree this was really usefull

When you play a chord it's red or green when you do it right.
Please ad a color in between, like yellow, if you got the chord right but the timing wrong.
I would like to see more useful and sophisticated statistics. For example: what specific techniques have I been working on? what specific techniques need improvement? what mistakes do I make habitually? what topics should I focus on in my study to maximize my improvement?

Also agree, would love this. There is no other way to see your progress but by advancing through the levels.
@Yousician - is there any way to get feedback from the developer team on these issues / questions? Both this feature and the fretmap for songs are features that previously existed and seemed to work properly (when I subscribed with a 1 year commitment, BTW) but are no longer available. Any hope of getting these features back? If yes, any timeline for that? If no, can you share the reasoning on why it was removed? (To be clear, answers like "it was too buggy" or "it was too expensive to maintain" are good enough reasons, I'd just like to see _any_ justification for this.)
I miss this feature as well.
Agreed! I find this really annoying as I found it so useful previously. It seems like a really strange thing to remove...
I loved the timing accuracy stats that showed up after playing a song. That way I could see my timing improving! This feature seems to be removed in the last update. Please bring it back somehow!
+1 for timing codes (i.e. greeen for perfect, yellow for a bit early, orange for early, ligth blue for a bit late, dark blue for late)
When a note or chord is played incorrectly, there is not much feedback to tell the user why it was played incorrectly. It simply turns red. The user doesn't know if it was a timing issue (early or late) or an accuracy issue.
If the wrong string was played it will highlight the incorrect string that was played. And if a chord is played incorrectly a certain number of times in a row, it will display how to play the chord correctly. But timing feedback is only provided when the note/chord was played "correctly".
There have been many times when a note/chord has turned red and I cannot understand why.
Agree completely. If you don't want to prioritize better stats in the app or on the web page, then at least expose the raw data over an API for us to query so that we can mine our own personal data.
Also, Give us some key indicators like average playing/practice time this week, this month, this year, ever etc. I really can't figure out why this is not a more requested feature. Are we so few data nerds that really get motivated by our own historic performance?
At the end of a performance song I like to see how many notes where correct and an graphical picture of where the faulty notes were in the song. (same picture you see at the bottom of the screen during a performance. So I can identify the part of the song where I have made the most mistakes.
I'd like to know too. I think I'm doing something wrong when strumming certain patterns amd it would be nice to know if maybe i don't strum a certain string to fix this pattern
I'm sorry if I have missed this feature somehow, but it seems to me that when I pause in training mode to go scroll back it instantly swipes out the information what went well what did not. I find that I often develop "shortcuts" unintentionally when the speed is increased, and I would like to identify these shortfalls. Now there's just some red there somewhere, and when I try to see what was it it's gone.
