Improved stats
I'd like to see more improved stats i.e.:
*Score per section
*Replay of notes you missed and have the app show why that chord/note didn't register.
*Stats on whether you tend to play notes early or late etc (timing accuracy).
*Missed strings when playing chords
*How many total notes you played at the end of it instead of just stars
Adding a per minute stat in the weekly email update and the stats page

Please show how my total song score improved when I complete playing a song or part of a song.
Currently the song finish screen shows me two scores; how many points I collected on this play, and what is my high score. These numbers are somewhat useless. My actual new high score can be seen when I go see the score comparison. There Yousician combines the best scores of each part of the song and displays the total. This score is what will stick as my high score for the future. Not the scores that are shown in the song completion screen.
Because of this discrepancy, I've developed a habit of always clicking the score comparison after completing a song. It's tedious but the only way I can see if I managed to improve some part of the song.
Furthermore, I'd appreciate it greatly if Yousician showed me how the score distributed over the song parts. Which part did I manage to improve? Where did I fall behind my best? This information would be helpful in understanding my playing and improve further.
The song completion screen is even more confusing if I finish playing one part of the song. The "current score" shows points for the current part only, but the high score shows the high score for the complete song. It's difficult to make any conclusions from these numbers because they are not comparable. Did I do well or not? Please rather show the last attempt and current best score for the song part only. Optionally, you could also show how this contributed to the total song score, but I'm not sure if that's necessary.
An additional note about the song completion screen; if I completed just one part of the song, Yousician sometimes makes me wait for a long time before displaying how many stars I earned. It seems as if Yousician is displaying the stars for all the song parts, but only the played part is visible whereas the rest are hidden. The wait is annoying for example if I play the Outro of Sweet Home Alabama and have to wait for up to 10 seconds until I see my stars.

Since I am currently working on my timings, it would be great to be able to actually see the timing when having completed the song, rather than just as the note is played.

It seems there are many levels to this, but just allowing access to the statistics that are already sent in emails, to see how we improve (or don't) over time would be great. If we could get this down to the song level it would help further analyse where common problems are. It would great to seem how we progress level to level and also after repeating a song. it could help the user understand how they best learn. Do I lean songs faster by starting to practice at 50% speed or 75% speed? etc...

It would really be helpful if one could check up whether one has missed a note because one was (slightly) to early or to late after one had finished playing a song or a part of it to see wether one repeats a certain mistake.
It is usually impossible to check this/ keep track of this while playing

It would be great to show the wrong note you've played somehow, no just coloring it red. So you could immediately see, how much off you were.
Maybe you could even show every note played by the user with less opacity on the sheet. -

Yes! I would love to be able to see how my score improves with practice of the song, ie seeing how much it has improved by archived in the song, instead of just seeing one high score with the ‘new high score’ message deleted as soon as you exit the song.

Ability to show the number of chords done in practice mode longer because tapping pause makes the scroe goes away,

I'd really like it if we could have an overlay of the time spent on a lesson - on all screens. Right now I have to go into my profile to see if I need to complete another exercise, or if I've gone way over my schedule. This is particularly important when in practice mode where you have no visibility. I understand that differences between mobile applications and their Windows counterparts mean that there is perhaps no one-size-fits-all solution, but certainly android will allow an overlay. I'm less sure about ios.

you used to show how well timed we played notes, no it's absent, I already requested this before but please, bring back the timing stats post-song!

I would love this. I've been stuck on a song for ages because I don't know what I'm doing wrong (even asked for help in the forum). This would be really great.

How about adding a per minute stat in the weekly email update and the stats page. Its more useful seeing as how you dont always play the same # of minutes.

+1 I think it would be rewarding to see the steady increasing trend of song level score/points

right now you can gold star each part in different takes and the score shown is the sum of the best time you played each separate part. they really need to make a separate marker for your best score playing the entire song in a single take. that's all, thanks.

I would like to see more useful and sophisticated statistics. For example: what specific techniques have I been working on? what specific techniques need improvement? what mistakes do I make habitually? what topics should I focus on in my study to maximize my improvement?

Also agree, would love this. There is no other way to see your progress but by advancing through the levels.

@Yousician - is there any way to get feedback from the developer team on these issues / questions? Both this feature and the fretmap for songs are features that previously existed and seemed to work properly (when I subscribed with a 1 year commitment, BTW) but are no longer available. Any hope of getting these features back? If yes, any timeline for that? If no, can you share the reasoning on why it was removed? (To be clear, answers like "it was too buggy" or "it was too expensive to maintain" are good enough reasons, I'd just like to see _any_ justification for this.)

I miss this feature as well.

Agreed! I find this really annoying as I found it so useful previously. It seems like a really strange thing to remove...
