I would love to subscribe to something like this. I would like to have the Premium+ songs but am only interested in one instrument. I can justify the jump in price. I middle option would be wonderful.

I agree. I just want this for my daughter to learn Uke. Why pay for a bunch of other instruments that we don't need?

You know, they actually offer now more for the money than they used to. You have the all instruments P+ plan for the same price you used to pay for all instruments without the P+ songs. You get all the songs for any instrument with P+, so there's nothing more to gain with one instrument with all the songs. What you're saying is that you want to pay less. We all do. How much do you think you could save a year? A tenner? TBH their model is based on their data, you can't know what the price would be for the kind you're asking for. If you would get one for 14,99/mo for a year, would you be happy? I guess no, because this is about you being cheap, not about the value you get or usefulness of the app. Just say it aloud, you don't need that subscription model, you just want the P+ songs for less money. Just start a thread with the title "I want to pay less for my subscription", at least it's a honest one.

And, we have no idea about how the production costs of the popular songs can be separated between the instruments, but considering they need a band to play the songs and use those recordings for all instruments there's not much to separate. Their licensing fees most likely aren't separated for different instruments either.

If you think P+ songs are worth 5/month, just get them.

I canceled my subscription because of the strange pricing model. €30 / month is too much for a subscription when there are legitimate competitors that now offer better premium songs and ability to select single instruments.

Well, what to do with people who have already bought premium + for the sake of additional songs and play on only one instrument due to the fact that now there is no premium + option for one instrument. Money back? Or is it a problem for those who have already spent money?

i too have a premium subscription and i took it only for a month, but it deducted for a year.

though i wrote to customer care, no response from any.

really felt bad, that i got cheated.

i am learning only piano and i dont need the rest of them, but why is that i have been given access to all and also charged for all. This is really money making business.

To learn piano fully i takes atleast 2 to 3 years and i wanted to be a professional in it, so thought of using it for a longer time, but looking at their ethical ways of handling a customer, i got frustrated.

At this stage how Yousician has updated the platform they need to listen and fix a lot that seems broken. For the subscription model I agree that there should be a few different levels:
Trial - standard free 30 mins/day after that can't play till the following day
Premium - get access to one instrument with all premium+ songs for that instrument.
Premium+ - the current model, access to all instruments and songs
Premium Family - Pay for so many "licenses" that can be used for family members on the same account. Each "license" can have a name holder to distinguish the person. So if I get 3 license I can say give my daughter access to piano, and for my wife and I we want to learn guitar. This model will allow all 3 family member the ability to play on there "license" at the same time if possible.

Also I'd like to add that the filters in game need to be updated. Give us options to filter out newest to oldest songs or opposite way. Filter out songs by capo only, finger picking, etc.

I have not used usician for about a year after the initial trial. Usician worked great for me, but the plans are just too expensive and the amount of free daily training is not enough. Will you at any time consider making a less expensive plan for those of us who just cant justify the cost. I'm sure there are also lots of low income families who would also sherish an option for a less costly plan. I mean there must be possible to make more plan options? How about a plan where you take the current premium plus plan, you divide up the montly cost into daily or hourly units and then you let people purchse units based on demand with an autocap option. Like a prepay plan for cellphones? Seriously this is the only reason stopping me using your app. I can afford the monthly or yearly plan fine, I just cant jus justify the cost based one how much I would and my family would use it. The other option I know people have requested from last year is a shared plan for family members, maybe even with the above described options? Thank you for your time. Cheers. JBJ

I ONLY play the guitar and y'all gave me an option premium for guitar only or premium for all instruments. I pd for premium for guitar but it is no different then the free version I am truly disgusted that I gave you 10 bucks for nothing. Really disappointed that I fell for that crap. The free trial has good songs and I should be able to get those with my premium for guitar only. Tell EXACTLY what I get for my money that anybody else cant get for free?

Excelent app, but....Favourites songs just with "Premium +"???? ..........I find total expensive,
I was total decided to be premium but I just want to play the bass, not others, and if I have to pay the Premium + for the favourites songs when I just want to play the bass......I find that's not good point, and I've seen in several forums yousician has lost lot of customers for that.

If I find a way or any discount I could think about being premium, but not this price.

I like popular song subscription be part of premium service.

I can't afford premium and only have a guitar subscription. It would be great if even a few popular songs were included. Feels like we're being manipulated to buy premium to get popular songs. It's already expensive for the basic one instrument subscription. I love Yousician but I'd love it more if I could play some popular songs like other apps.

Replacing subscriptions with packs is a great idea for the users that are cancelling their subscriptions and for who think that their subscriptions have no value and Yousician is a 0.

The Normal Packs offer all advantages of the subscriptions, except for the popular songs, just like in Premium.
The Pro Packs offer all advantages, just like in Premium+.
The difference between the packs and the subscriptions is that in the packs, you can choose which instruments do you want and you can't do it in subscriptions.

Last, I want to give credit to tasseb for having this idea.

Previously, Yousician was focused on helping people learning music, but now it looks like its focus is to make money. Music schools are better. I am in a music school and I can learn music quicklier. In just 1 year I could play some hard songs.

I'll expand on this to say that I'm much more interested in having (for example) 10 instrument "slots". That could be Guitar for me, piano for me, guitar for daughter 1, guitar for daughter 2, voice for daughter 2 etc. In this way, you're limited but you can get value for MORE THAN ONE PERSON. Premium+ is mega not cheap now, so the odds that I'd buy it for me *and* each of my kids is zero. This means either their lessons / progress are commingled with mine or we find a more family-friendly online resource.

Well I have been with them for a while and I think I will knock Yousician on the head when my renewal is due. I don't get it with Premium ( my one) and Premium +. My lessons are suggesting tunes on a tariff I don't even want to use.

But someone has thought "hey this is a good idea to make a lot of money."

Its not about the student anymore. If it was there would be a lot more video tutorials and info on theory etc.

Its sad as I really liked it on here but I guess things change.

It’s seems like they really try to milk the cow. It see,s they have now even removed the option to add songs with guitar pro for your own fun. I really don’t no what to think anymore. To top it my screen is now filled with premium + songs I can’t play anyway..yet I’m a 1 instrument subscriber and I really don’t see how I can put up with this any longer. If things don’t improve with this years subscription I’m probably going to cancel my subscription, because I really don’t want to support them anymore at this point.
