Option to control backing track volume on guitar/bass/piano/uke/singing
Let's say I play a song for the first time. Hearing the instrument sound played in the mix is nice to have, as it gives an idea of how I'm supposed to sound. Once I learned it, it would be great if I could control that backing track volume with a slider, even mute it, so I can hear all the details of my playing in the mix.
These backing tracks with the instrument playing the same notes tend to mask mistakes that would be heard otherwise.
this feature could be implemented automatically to the instrument one is learning.

Yousician Tech supports says they fixed the low piano volume problem with one of their updates but there was no real change. Still have problems hearing piano over backing track. It is real a shame too, because it is such a great program. I don't have piano volume problems with the app "Simply Piano" by Joytunes.

Yes,separate controls would be best especially on IOS. I have a midi keyboard and even though I have the piano volume turned all the way up on the program's mixer the background music is too loud. I can't hear my piano playing.
I was so sad to see this so low on the list. It is a real problem -

Currently there is a unbalance of the loudness between the background music, voice, effects and especially the piano sound which is generated from the MIDI data.
This is my impression using an iPad or iPad Pro with Yousican. Probably this is a bug or problem just on this platform.
With the current controls it is not possible to balance these audio sources properly, especially because the very loud sound effects can no be controlled.
The piano sound loudness is so low compared to the background music, it is almost not audible with some background music. Using the sound of the instrument itself - instead of the sound generated by Yousician - is not possible because the piano sound in Yousician can not be turned off.
My suggestion is:
- Compare the loudness of the background music and the sound effects and adjust the volumes to make them match.
- Add controls for each audio source: Sound Effects, Voice, Background Music, Piano Sound. So a user can individually match the loudness for his own setup.
- Make sure all of these sources can be switched completely off.
- It would be nice if there is either: A test to have some sound example while adjusting the volumes - or add this option to the pause screen so a user can adjust the volumes while playing to get a better impression.I think this would make the Yousician app even more usable in a more professional setup - e.g. on a Yamaha Clavinova using the MIDI out and audio in connectors of this piano with a iPad Pro.

I agree, there should be an option to adjust the volume of: Piano, Background Music, Sound Effects

The existing "Master" and "Music" volumes are a little confusing. Many programs have an option to adjust the levels of your own instrument and background track separately (as well as voiceover, soundfx etc.) This would be a very convenient option. Even more convenient would be including it in the PAUSE menu so that it can be changed "on the fly" if needed.
