Introduce alternate tuning (transpose from standard tuning) for all instruments
It would be great if we could choose between different tuning variations in a drop down menu on the tuning page (Drop D, Open D, C# standard etc.). Currently we have to find a song that uses that alternate tuning and then we can tune it to that specific scale.
It would be much easier if we were given control over which tuning we would like to choose to tune our guitars in on the actual page.
Thanks!

I agree with being able to change your tuning, however you able to transpose a song in singing section to fit your voice. Why can't we transpose songs on the other instruments? I would love to be able to play in the same key that I'm singing in.

It will help people who sings and would like to play while singing to have the option to transpose songs in the instrument syllabus and not only in the singing syllabus.

Strummachine.com has a fantastic key change feature - you can select the Key you want to play your desired song in. That would be an Awesome feature to have here too!

EGCEAE tuning for guitar is fantastic. You tune the middle 4 strings like a ukulele or Charango, with a low G. All chord shapes are done using the middle 4 strings. It works out really well and makes the guitar easy to play.

EGCEAE. A fantastic tuning for Ukulele players that want to play guitar. You can use the middle 4 strings GCEA and that's where you do your chord work. So you don't have to learn new chords.

This is a seriously NEEDED feature and it's disappointing as hell that it's not already available yet in the App.
How is someone supposed to TRULY learn to play the guitar on this App when the chromatic tuner on here ONLY offers standard tuning??? There's THOUSANDS of songs out there that REQUIRE alternatIVE tuning (NOT STANDARD). And every Newly Starting/Rookie Guitarist who downloadS this App wanting to learn this instrument and be able to play some their favorite songs WILL HAVE TO INVEST IN ANOTHER APPLICATION because YOU DONT OFFER ALTERNATIVE TUNING (ie. Open, Dropped, Minor & Major "Cross Note" etc.)
Like there IS more to the guitar than just the range of my EADGBE right??? Or are flat's sharp's NOT IMPORTANT when learning HOW TO PLAY AND READ MUSIC??? 👉🏿👌🏻

I agree completely. I have a seven string, so it doesnt really work out too well. The different tuning is a very good idea as well.

I could really use this as I normally play in drop D - would it be possible to get this feature for all string instruments?

We really need this, it is so infuriating trying to transpose mid-song.

I wish there was an option to be able to tune your guitar to different tunings ( E flat,Drop D, e.t.c. )

Even if they just add Drop D it would be amazing for us metalheads.

I agree with this idea in part. Complete custom tuning would be crazy to code for lesson songs considering how much that could change the tone/groove/feel of a tune. Though there are several string tuning alternates that are widely known and accepted. Some genres or iconic songs from their respective genres just sound so much better in the alternative tuning modes they used to record them with. Offering a standardized alt' tuning list would help some Yousician users obtain a sense of "real" versus standard tuning making real songs they know seem nothing more than novel. This also brings up that there are plenty of people who are playing Guitar or Bass who may have instruments that are not of standard string quantities. These could be Guitars or Bass' they personally love to play or maybe at the time, their only option to use for practice in contrast to not that day. Or at least not using Yousician to learn or practice from at that time because their Guitar has not just 6 but maybe 7 or 12 strings and as well the music they are trying to adapt to calls for such. As a person wanting to play Bass over the years with no training have picked up a few more than probably my fair share of bad habits. I've also seen a few Bass guitars come and go and have 3 that I own currently that I enjoy playing especially now that I'm taking the time to get a better education of sorts. Though sometimes seeing those notes on the screen scrolling by gets a bit more than just tricky when tracking them on my 5 string. More so on my 6 string Bass. Even just seeing songs done in the traditional 6/4 string standard (Guitar/Bass respectively) with the string progression on the screen shifted for proper string quantities set by the user would make learning and expanding or quick re-class and honing of skill sets easier and more inviting. By making a selection of instrumentation/string quantity and confirmation through the in app tuner each Yousician could get a more emersed and personalized experience.
