More interaction with friends/followers
Following people would be so much better if you could interact with them in some way.
Message them to say good job or send a challenge, ask if they've tried a specific song. Would also be nice to view their profiles.
It would be great to have a "Search for Friends" that allows searching based on:
Player Level
Player's favorite Song Genre
Player's location (Country/State/Province)
Player's Age group
Players should have the capability to opt out of being search on.
Share profile link to add friends
Comments Section for each song, share advice, or tips to help people play that specific song
Share playlists with friends
Friends could send "band codes" which they could connect together and play the same song together

Right on! You already got all my votes dude. I completely agrre with this suggestion. I mean, I've just learned how to follow people on yousician, but as you said it's very difficult to know who to follow. I've been checking out people's nicknames you know? I'm into heavy stuff, so Alexicutioner and Shredderaspirant are obvious, but I wish I could find more metalheads around here! btw my nick is Jonasbo (as it even gets the capitals...)

One feature I loved about GuitarBots was the ability after playing a song or a part of a song, to see a list of about five people whose scores were close to mine. Currently in Yousician this has been narrowed down to one. Yousician currently shows people I follow, then the top scores, that are way beyond my current ability, and then one person who scored close to my score. I built most of my friendships and healthy competitive play this way in GB. I sure would like to see that number increased here in Yousician.

Players should have the capability to opt out of being search on.As of right now, I cannot figure out a way to "find" new friends since I do not know anyone's username. Maybe a Player Registry on your website that would allow the search and you can then enter that Player into the Yousician search.

You need to make it so you can FIND new friends and then follow them. Such as a search on like genres and musical groups. Without a feature like that, searching for new friends is impossible unless you know a name that you want to be friends with.
