Set the price according to the country.
$19.99 is really a good price in the US, but in India it works out to be a whopping ₹1340 per month, that's a lot of money.
You might say, if you can't afford it then don't bother, but if you set the prices according to the country it will not only increase the number of people using the app but also the revenue.
Hi Yousicians,

You just made it more expensive by setting the euro-price equal to the USD-price??? Please see here for average salaries vs US: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_average_wage
As a break-off point I would choose any country with average salary <50% of US: 25% reduced price.I was one of the people waiting for this to happen, but it had just the opposite effect, it got more expensive.

We get Euro prices same as dollar prices despite the dollar being cheaper than the euro, unfair.

Not to mention 9.99 USDx12 months = 119.88 USD. $119.88 is not equal €119.99. At current rate 1EUR=1,17USD So if I pay 119,99EUR is equal more than 140,5USD. It's more than price of 2 months. So our salary is lesser but we pay more than US residents?

In Turkey, we do not have the purchasing power of Europe & US citizens. Yousician should take spotify as an example and set prices according to countries. If it was cheaper, I wouldn't hesaitate to subscribe to the yearly plan. I know many people like in my situation. With that strategy, yousician can gain money even from the people that do not even consider yousician because of its price.

USD is about 4 times worth TRY and US citizens minimum wage is better than 4 times of Turkish citizens. It's really too hard to pay that much wheb everything is massively taxed and one month plan is not attractive at all to try it out. Surely it's still cheaper than a tutor but I am not sure if I was born to be a good guitarist, there are other things to do, you know. 4$/m would be good for 12m.

Hello guys!
I have installed your app, pretty good! But the subscription is out of reality to Brazilian users, you see, if an person subscribe for one month, he will pay BRL 80.00, to put this in perspective, an music teacher costs BRL60.00/hour, the salary average in Brazil is BRL 900.00... An median Brazilian cant waste 10% of their salary with this, unfortunately...
Do you guys have plans to create subscription prices according our reality? Like Spotify and Netflix? I think if monthly subscriptions would cost BRL 20.00 (5.0 USD) you guys will have many Brazilian users because your app is awesome!
Thank you! -

Hi,
One more user here from India and I completely agree with this post. I recently started using Yousician and I am loving it. But the only thing that is stopping me to sign up for premium is that we need to pay in $s, which turns out quite expensive for most people. So I expect and hope Yousician will make the change possible.
Thanks a lot for the wonderful app and all the hard work. Please make country specific plans and take my money.
Thanks!

Hello, Team Yousician. Greetings from India! I recently started using the app to learn Guitar and Piano. So far, I've found it actually effective in keeping me motivated to learn every day. That's an enormous compliment coming from a sloth like myself. I love the concept, the songs, the clever training tricks and the interface. I really want to upgrade to premium, and would have done that by now had the price not been so high. $10 per month is Rs. 650, which is even more than what professional music schools charge here in India. Is it possible to offer premium subscription as per the Indian market? Some other companies are doing that with their software products.
Yours,

Yousician would be so much more popular if pricing was reduced here. Yousician can take Spotify as an example for its pricing in Turkey. The Premium price for Yousician in the Turkish store is unaffordably high, and practically none of the people I know are willing to pay it. Yousician would sell much more in Turkey if you guys provide some price flexibility like Spotify did for Turkey (10$ in USA became 14TL in Turkey instead of 36TL, which would correspond to the american currency) And spotify makes huge sales in Turkey, and it is very popular. So should be Yousician, because it is great! A drop from the huge price of 52TL per month to a manageable one around 25TL would mean much more sales for Yousician here. Right now most people I know do not buy premium or just hack/pirate the app. Please consider this. Thanks!

Yea. that true. It's the same situation in Romania. The salary here is just 10% of what is in USA or Germany.
It will be great to have the price based on Country minimum salary. -

I fully agree. Make the price per country or make a unique value to get the premium version, and not get paid monthly. For sure many people would get the app in Brazil.

Payment plan required to be country specific. As I am from India, exchange value of dollar changes every time and very much higher. A payment option in rupee will be much more measurable for us for the investment made in this programme. Payment amount also should be fixed based on average purchase power of people. This will make yousician more popular in India, where lot more musicians are born every day.

Can we get a $9.99 monthly plan rather than yearly plan?

Totally agree. Setting up a prices according to country wealth level is a great idea. It will bring more users to yousician. According to exchange rate in Ukraine, its not very affordable. Not everyone can afford monthly prices, that is why it would be great to add more plans (weekly, daily etc.) with more affordable prices.
