Add Option to Disable Note Colors. Add this as a Challenge and Final Goal.
At the end people must be able to read a score without color coding. Therefore you should add an option to disable the note color coding. This should be an option you can always enable, and it should be a challenge which is part of the learning process.
At some point you should just enable the color coding in the training mode, but only show black notes in the perform mode.

Hi everyone! We have now added a third view for Piano that allows you to turn off the note colors. You can now read black and white notes. We hope this helps!
This is now available on the desktop (PC/Mac) version of the app and will be released on mobile devices soon!

I’m new into music world, but I found most of the kids and easy learning tools are using the color scheme in most kids instruments
for example on the attached screenshot you can see bells and Xilophon for kids in those.I found odd why why you use different color scheme when teaching piano for example.

A more standard color scheme for the piano

Please do the same for guitar! It can be a bit helpful at first but as you begin to learn your own way to maneuver up and down the fret board it really confuses the brain to then have the wrong finger of the wrong fret

This feature is NOT completed: it is only available for piano.

This is not fixing the problem..... How it can be so hard just to remove colour by choice and add your favourite one to every single note.

How can you say it's completed when most of the requests for this feature are from guitarists.

Please give guitar a chance to turn off the colors. It's so distracting. I have found out, much of my problem im having because of the colors svrew me up big time. I plsyed bkack and white tab today and play dramaticly better without the stupid color thing.

The finger color coding used to be nonexistent for bass player in the standard notation. Now it has been added without the option to disable it. This is very annoying and distracting when you used to play without the color.
Please add the option int the setting to disable the finger color coding.

But what about guitar, etc? I really want to disable colors in guitar lessons, I am on level 10 and colors only distract and make it harder to read the tab. I'd say this request is not yet completed!

I agree completely. I understand that the colors are for assistance, but I'd love to be able to test my skills without the colored notes.

Please provide an option for colorless notes. I feel like I am not so much learning where the notes are, as much as I have memorized which color correlates to which finger to use. This would enhance learning and memorizing a lot!

The cookies are good to get you started but later on it get's in the way. Also as a beginner, surely it's better to learn the note positions rather than "oh it's a blue note next." I love the app but I have been left not associating notes with their positions, which would make reading real music even harder.

I'm getting to the point that colour coded notes is counter productive. My brain is associating colours with the notes too powerfully, then when during a song the colour for a specific note changes due to change in keyboard position, I get confused, which just emphasises that I don't really know what the note is and I'm just relying on the colour.
It also means I am not learning to read music as well as I would if the notes were just black.
I wouldn't have thought it would be that hard to add the option to just show notes in black instead of colour and it would have a large positive impact on learning.

I get that colors can be a nice thing at times but it quickly becomes a problem as I find myself distracted by the fact that I can't truly focus in what's really going.you pay attention more to the colors of the notes rather than the location of the notes which leads you to think that you are better than you really are.And soon when you find yourself in contact with real black and white sheets you are puzzled... Thank you

I realized the same thing, that I was learning to play by the colors and what fingers they are associated with instead of the actual notes. I have now been trying to force my mind to ignore the colors and actually say the notes in my mind, which is really hard to do. I love everything else about the program, but I now know that I barely know the notes and haven't been associating them with keys. I have been learning to associate colors with fingers as if typing. This almost tricks you into thinking you are doing better than you really are at the beginning, but hinders actual sheet reading.
