Change output device
I find myself changing my computer's default audio when I play so I can hear Yousician through my preferred speakers. I think it would be great if I could choose an output audio device for Yousician.

same issue here.
Even if I select ASIO, the setting icon does not appers (within the seetings you can make your own choices, regarding input and output). According to ASIO website FAQ, this means the audio software does not uses ASIO.
anyway, if I select within Yousician ASIO, than I sleect my external sound card for the input, no sound from the Yousician.
Nice, I bought an expensive external sound card to lower the latency not to have issues with note recognition/delay. Now I have a hardware, but on software side the possibilities are limited.

It's ridiculous that this isn't available. My microphone has a headphone port that also echoes the mic input, and Yousician uses this even though my Windows default output is set to my speakers, which makes the Windows app completely useless.

Pretty big oversight that you can't pick the output device.
I've got my laptop, a big external monitor, and 3 audio devices connected including the analogue-digital interface my guitar is plugged into and I DO NOT want to use the interface as an output device because it adds a small delay and requires headphones.
I literally stopped using Yousician over this singular issue. I cannot hear any sound from the application. What is the point of having a song selection if you cannot hear it?

I have the same problem. I have my bass coming through a motu Ultralite. In the evenings I want to use the headphone output but Yousician will only output through my speakers. Setting to headphones works for every other app (iTunes, Logic, Transcribe, Spotify, you name it) but Yousician does not honour the setting.
I see the original comment was 6 years ago. Could the developers please take a look at this?

I recently ran into an issue where the app will not play sound out my Default Audio Device in OS X. All other apps do work properly except Yousician. The problem seems to be because my default Audio Device (Allen-Heath Qu-Pac) has 32 output channels. In OS X's Midi Setup you configure Speakers which define the Left and Right channels to use for audio. Yousician doesn't seem to honor this.
It would be nice to be able to change the output device similar to how you select input devices by Device and Channel. For the Input device, I can select my Qu-Pac and Channel X for input. However, this doesn't exist for the output and makes me rely on a third party App (Audio Hijack) to re-direct audio from Yousician to my USB Connected Audio Interface (Qu-Pac)
