Store Preferences on Colorblind Mode
I absolutely enjoy your app, yet I would have an even better time, if account could store my preferences on color blind modes and I wouldn't be reminded on each startup about this condition.
5 votesThank you for sharing your feedback!
This was actually a bug that was introduced with an app update – we are sorry for that!
The problem is now fixed and the fix is included in the latest update of the app. This is already available on desktop (PC/Mac) and will be released for mobile (Android/iOS) next week.
If the issue persists after you update the app, please visit Yousician’s Help Center to get in touch with our support team:

Weekly Activity Report Multiple Instruments
The weekly activity report now only shows one instrument despite making progress across two or more instruments on the platform. I would like that reflected in the weekly emails I receive.
2 votesHi Yousicians,
Changes have been made to the weekly activity report emails again and, going forward, you should see the activity for all instruments you’ve played in the same email again.

Ability to skip a section
skip a section and still be able to move on. In piano, maybe I don't care to recognize keys/sounds. Just let us skip the whole section and more on to the next level. Otherwise why am I paying for this?

Put back the ability to adjust tempo by 1%
The new 5% adjustments are too big, we need a way to adjust tempo by 1% again.
25 votesHi,
Thank you for voting!
It is now again possible to change the practice speed by 1% by clicking the – and + icons near the slider. You can also click on the slider to increase/decrease the speed by a bigger amount.
We hope this helps. Keep on rocking!

Improve the tempo slider
The tempo slider is a bit annoying for two reasons: when you try to set the tempo, your finger covers most of it making adjustment harder, and the first tap changes the tempo immediately.
There are already ideas about making it bigger, but I don't think it really solves the usability issues. It would be great if you could leave the current tempo in place if I start dragging it. This way I wouldn't have to aim for the right place immediately - just swipe left at any place of the slider to slow down and right to speed up.…

Redesign the Yousician Certificates
I was thinking that, since we all get official Yousician certificates everytime we reach a new level, the certicifates need a new design, one that's more consistent with the app itself. I decided to do a mockup (with the ukulele, since I'm playing that instrument), explaining what I meant with that idea, and some elements that I think should stay in future certificates.
You can view the mockup here: bit.ly/2MNBQYL
Btw, can someone tell me if these certificates have any value in a CV?

A subscription with monthly billing that doesn't span a year.
A subscription with monthly billing that doesn't span a year. For example, I know that I cant play at all next spring so it would be a waste of money to subscribe to a yearly plan.
1 voteHi,
Thank you for voting,
Monthly subscriptions (with no yearly commitment) can be started via our website:
https://app.yousician.com/account/profile#/login -
Payments should be monthly, not yearly!
As a student, I would be more than happy to pay somewhere from 10€ to 20€ per month of this (since the app is great btw!), but the yearly payment method doesn't work for me and propably to many others too. I could eat with that money (179,99€) for more than a month.
Even real life music teachers won't bill you yearly, so why should an app?1 voteHi,
Thank you for taking the time to share your suggestion. Monthly subscriptions are available via our website. Simply log in with your account details and find the subscription that better suits your needs:

I'd like the ability to bookmark songs in lessons so that I can easily find them and play them again in the future.
I'd like the ability to bookmark favorite songs in lessons so that I can easily find them and play them again in the future. Currently it is very difficult to find them again in the lesson path.
1 voteThank you for taking the time to share your suggestion.
When doing the guided lesson, you should be able to tap the heart icon on the bottom right side of the screen. This will add the song to your collection of favorites where you can later find it.
If you believe this is not working as expected, please check our Help Center to get in touch with Yousician’s support team:

sheet music
I would like to be able to see sheet music for the songs. That would make learning new songs easier and much faster.
1 voteHi,
Thank you for voting.
Sheet notation is currently available on all Yousician instruments. You can check out our Help Center for more information about changing between notation styles:

Add an auto-play feature
Add a feature where you can listen to the song you are about to play played correctly by a robot. It can be very hard to keep up with the white ball, especially during fasts songs. It would be way easier to play to melody by hearing and repeating than to look at the ball all the time.

Have a list of Premium songs.
Unless you specifically know the Premium songs you wish to play there is no search function to list all available. Having this feature would help save time searching for songs/artists that aren't currently available.

Advance search options
I think there should be an advance search function for guitar. For example. Lead and rhythm filters. To help narrow down results for your playing preference.
251 votesHi Yousicians,
Thank you for voting!
Advanced search filters are now available when searching for a song in Yousician. Simply tap the magnifying glass on the top right side of the screen and press “Filters”. You’ll see the different options available to search for there.

It is extremely hard to scroll through all the new songs
Trying to look through all the new songs and if i want to add one to my favourites, i can accidentally click onto a song, which means i have to start all over again.

Keyboard shortcuts! To move forward and backward, change the tempo, the notation, metronome, for everything ideally.
R for restart and P for perform/practice are appreciated. But please, more shortcuts! Left and right arrows to move forward and backward, up and down arrows for the tempo. N for notation. H for hand. F for play for me. M for metronome. S for mute song. Thanks!
Navigate with arrows in practice mode
Sspace bar use instead of mouse clicks
Quick select a section in practice mode, example - press f.ex. 3 on numpad to select the third part of the song. Press 0 to similarly clear selection.

In song practice mode, repeat with a 2 beat count
When practicing a song, the tabs repeat when the song finishes. It repeats so quickly, that I often miss the first note. A two beat count before the start would fix this problem.
55 votesHi Yousicians!
Thank you very much for your feedback! We heard you and I am happy to announce that we now have an option to enable a full bar count-in when playing songs in practice mode.
You can find the toggle “Loop lead-in” in the top right corner. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us through the support website: http://bit.ly/YousicianContact

Scales Section
It would be great to have a section where users could access major, minor, and pentatonic scales in various positions on the fret board for daily practice. It could be labeled "scales" right next to "songs", with a library of scales to play, and maybe even a randomly generated mix called, "daily scale exercise," at the top.
76 votesHi,
Thank you for voting.
On Guitar and Piano, you can find a Scales section under Learn > Workouts. These collections include several exercises to practice some of the most common scales.

Bring back the practice button
I just updated the app, and the practice button is gone. I know I can change to practice mode while I'm in perform mode, but I find it easier to go into practice mode right from the start instead of taking a detour.
25 votesHi everyone,
Thank you for the feedback. The Practice button is now back to its old place. Rock on!
