Display Instrument when user logs in
Have the name of the instrument be displayed by the level. Not a big deal. If it doesn't happen, that's okay too.
1 voteHi!
All Yousician menus have now different background images, depending on the instrument you are using.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let our support team know by contacting them at support@yousician.com.

Fretboard memorize helper: Show the name of the played note
Lets say that I play the fourth fret on E string correctly. I get instant textual feedback "Perfect". Still, I as a novice musician I may not be aware at all what the played note actually was.
I'd like to see a feature that shows the name of the note that was just played. Instead of just "Perfect", there would be something like this rising up from the correctly played note:
(G#)
PerfectAdditionally, the name's text or background could be color coded in the same way as different chord families are color coded (blue for C and C# and…

Listen To Song button (No feedback or lesson time lost)
Ex. User clicks on the Listen Button, and it plays the song. No feedback would be given and the user doesn't lose lesson time.
This is similar to practice mode, but without feedback and it wouldn't use up lesson time. So the user would be able to listen to the song before they play it, to have a better idea of how to play it. Yousician could teach you how to play it while you listen, but it doesn't have to.

Multiple logins for tracking family members progress.
I have the premium subscription and I use the guitar training and my daughter will use the piano training. My son would also like to use the the piano session but then the progress tracking is not all tied to the same user account. I would like to see a feature similar to the apple family account, where family members have the ability to have their own login under the premium account and their progress is tracked individually.

Every week issue popular songs particularly with riffs so beginners can start to develop their skills.
Every week there should be a couple of riff challenges from random songs, each with different difficulty levels. This will help novice yousicians like my self develop their skills and help us start to learn songs. Keep jamming fellow yousicians
1 voteHi Tylar,
Thanks for the suggestion.
Our music team releases new songs for the Weekly Challenges every week. These songs are presented in various difficulty levels (beginner friendly as well as advanced ones) and have some riffs too, so you and other beginners can start developing you skills right now ;-)
Please read this article on how to access the past challenges too: https://yousician.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205017451
Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further questions (via support@yousician.com).

Option for Colorblind people please!
I have Deuteronomy and have trouble seeing the difference between notes that are hit and missed (red/green). I also have trouble identifying when the colors suggest a change in left hand positioning (blue/purple).
Please implement a way to customize colors, or a preset colorblind mode!
18 votesHi awesome musicians!
We are happy to announce the addition of new color schemes for Yousician. To change the scheme you wish to use, go to Settings > Game and scroll down to the bottom of the page where you can choose between Protanopia, Deuteranopia and Tritanopia.

Piano Version: Challenges and exercises
The piano version could use a series of challenges and basic exercises that are geared toward improving technical skill. Things like Random chord transitions, random arpeggios, expression skills (loudness, swing beats, sustain), coordination exercises, and sight reading exercises (forced note view...)

Piano Version: Timing accuracy information during play
The guitar version has accuracy notifications that fly off the notes during play, a feature that is missing from the piano version. I'm personally struggling with timing accuracy (I'm always early:P) and having a live indication of how I'm doing will help immensely.
This notification should range from Good/Great/Perfect, with a color difference that indicates whether or not you were late or early.1 voteHello,
Thanks for your support and suggestions!
The feature has been implemented in the latest standalone (Mac/PC/Linux) and mobile (iOS, Android) versions of Yousician.

Ability to change default "Note" view mode in Settings in Piano Version
In the Piano version of Yousician, when you hit pause you can change the Note View mode from the "Yousician" version or to regular music notation. But every time you go to a new song it goes back to the default "Yousician" note view. Can we have a place in the settings to make it always show regular music notation so we do not have to change it on every song for users that would rather use normal music notation
Thanks.

bonus High Score Algorithm - extra points for playing all parts of a song perfectly - on a single shot!
If i play a complete song in one and played it perfectly, i should get more Points than playing it ten times which failure in different parts. Currently, in sum - all parts were played correct - one after another....
=> When i try to reach the maximum Score, i can trick:
Play the whole song to start the n-th parts with a level "5" (1000) per perfect note played. Therefore, i suggest to give e.g. 1000 extra points for playing a whole song in one shot perfectly.

Add MIDI keyboard support to Yousician Piano
Yousician Piano currently only works with the microphone, just like the guitar version. For those of us who only have MIDI keyboards, this makes it unreasonably complex to use. It would be great if support for MIDI keyboards could be added!
7 votesHi,
Thanks for the suggestion!
MIDI keyboard support is coming, meanwhile please check this article: https://yousician.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203673471

Delay song start.
When playing free version and the ad plays between lessons, It does not delay the start of the song. The song starts and plays in the background all while the ad is playing. As a result you have to start the song over. I have noticed this does count against the free time for a non paid user.
3 votesHi everyone, and thank you for your feedback. This has been fixed.

Put the "Add to Favorites" button under the Song Details Page
I keep wanting to add a song to my favorites list, but never remember right after I finish playing it. Can you add the "Add to Favorites" button to the Song Details page along with the Diagram, Fretmap and Leaderboards buttons?
8 votesHi everyone!
You are now able to add a song to your favorites by clicking the small heart net to the “Play” button.

Yousician should provide users with usage and practice time statistics.
If something is not measured, it cannot be improved - William Thomson, Irish Physicist So my suggestion is that yousician gives us acces to our statistics, total practice time, practice time by the path chosen, how long did we take to move up to another level, time spent on the challenges, on the missions. Anyway, I'm sure this would help plenty of users that would be able to improve their performance and invest their time on what's really the issue for us. Tks!
130 votesHi everyone, and thank you for your feedback!
Yousician desktop (PC/Mac) version has just been updated and you can now see your playing time statistics by clicking on your username at the top left of the screen.
This new feature will also be available on mobile soon! Should you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with our support team by following the link below:
