  3. Add Android support for Real Tone guitar cable

    Using an OTG Micro USB adapter, I'm able to connect my Real Tone cable to my Android phone. It's detected by the kernel and Linux subsystem, but it appears the Unity Android app only supports the "Device microphone"

  4. iOS detect playing time

    iOS should detect playing time. That way, a guitarist isn't frustrated when they used up their lesson time for the day, and it still sends a message telling the user to play. After done playing, Yousician could have a notification saying, "Good job, you played x hours today!" Or something like that. I hope this idea is taken into consideration. :)

    Thanks for the suggestion!

    There is a Weekly Report sent to an email address assigned to your game account every Saturday if you played Yousician at least 10 minutes during the previous week.

  5. Sheet Music For Guitar

    If you can do it for piano, why not for us? I'd LOVE to learn to read sheet music and it seems like you have the technology just need to give us guitar players the same option as the piano people. Please and Thanks!!

  6. Note names for ukulele

    Piano and (guitar too, I believe) have the option to show note names. Why not ukulele? I personally find that note names are more useful to me. The fingerpicking exercises on Yousician weren't clicking until I sat down with an old-school method book and learned which notes are on which fret.

    The feature of changing the fret numbers into the note names view is available in Yousician Ukulele too. It can be accessed from the pause menu of any song.

  7. Sample of how song should sound when played correctly.

    I am very new to guitar and it's been going great with your app. I am a level 5 now following both legs and I never picked up a guitar before so I am very happy. Plus trying to play along with songsome on radio or 4 chords has helped a ton with strumming. The songs are not always familiar on app and tho I try to follow arrows now that I am getting higher the patterns are difficult to play with not having any idea how it should sound.     Meanwhile, I will answer the question here anyways.

    Although it’s not possible to see the initial instrument selection screen again, your instrument set up can be changed under SETTINGS —> GAME —> Recording Device.

  10. Reset button for instruments

    It would be nice if Yousician had a reset button for an instrument. For example message says: "Are you sure you want to reset missions? You will lose all progress for this mission." If yes, Yousician deletes all progress for that instrument.
    If no, Yousician returns to either instrument drop down menu or the current missions.

    An undo and/or redo button may avoid accidental deleting of one's progress.

  11. Practice on a small selection from the song

    Make it possible to select a region from the song and then repeatedly practice only this particular part of the song. The region can be just a couple of notes, rather than a whole section.

  13. Notification when a friend beats your score

    You would get a notification every time one of your friends beats your score in an exercise or a song. This would encourage the player to try harder.

    The notification could be a push notification or an email.

    Hello and happy good year

    I would be very interested in the development of the tuner 5-string banjo on the same mode as for the guitar.
    There are currently no app for that level banjo.

  15. Add Option to Disable Note Colors. Add this as a Challenge and Final Goal.

    At the end people must be able to read a score without color coding. Therefore you should add an option to disable the note color coding. This should be an option you can always enable, and it should be a challenge which is part of the learning process.

    At some point you should just enable the color coding in the training mode, but only show black notes in the perform mode.

    Hi everyone! We have now added a third view for Piano that allows you to turn off the note colors. You can now read black and white notes. We hope this helps!

    This is now available on the desktop (PC/Mac) version of the app and will be released on mobile devices soon!

  16. Use the Precision and Reliability of MIDI if Available/Plugged-in.

    I own a Yamaha Calvinova piano, which feels like a real piano but it an electronic piano. Now I use the MIDI out and connect it to the iPad with the Yousician app. This works good, but not perfect.

    It seems you don't use the MIDI data for your analysis, instead you convert the MIDI data into audio and use this audio to detect the notes. Please use the MIDI data directly, because they are much more precise and you will always detect the notes correctly (and it uses less CPU).

  17. Song suggestions as per users level...

    It would be nice to get suggestions for songs as per users level.

    Currently users can see list of songs but don't know which one they can play depending upon their level.

    This could be great addition to this app!

    You can now search for songs that match your level using our Advanced Search. Find more about it here:

    Even though it is described that way on the article, you don’t need to actually write any keyword to start searching. You can just filter by level and all songs that match the level(s) you selected will be displayed.
