Yousician Professional Service
I have a detailed suggestion involving adding Pro support or services to Youscian to lift the it up from a general learning TOY to a true Musician's tool. Please bare with me.
I am dyslexic. I began playing Guitar in the 1980s and struggled as a performer. Although I could read music I could not sight read and had to memorize all the songs I played. This significantly limited my ability to play live and practice since I had to focus on my set and keep going over them to retrain the songs.
I ended up giving it up 30…

Allow users to assemble and play back their own songs
Use Case: I want to create a song for Yousician that isn't in its database and I want to use a song from my iTunes library as the backing track.
Allow the user to import a track for use as a backing track. I'm assuming this is legally possible as Garage Band and other recording tools allow this (think YouTube)
Allow the user to create the notation for any of the instruments and specify how the song will be broken up by sections.
Allow the user to sync the track with the notation.
When the user goes to play the…

Option to switch back to the old interface
The previous UI was infinitely better to navigate and the distinction between the different 'paths' was one of its best features.
I decided to invest in Yousician as I specifically wanted to do the paths separately, and no other app offered that nor the simplicity, straight-forwardness, and frankly elegance of the design.
Being able to easily focus on one skill at a time was a godsend for my ADHD brain!
I can't emphasise that enough. It was ideal. The flow diagram layout was brilliant.
Plus, it felt more ‘gamified’, which made it a lot more motivating and rewarding. Please consider…

We do not foresee including the option to allow the creation of songs on Yousician.
New famous songs are added to Yousician regularly. You can learn more about the new songs added to the app via our official forum (https://app.yousician.com/phpbb3/index.php) or check our Songs page to find all songs currently available:

Please re-enable to option to upload songs
I recently just started using this feature and found it very promising. I find Yousician to be a great tool to learn and practice how to play a song, so I was very excited to find I could import my GuitarPro arrangements. However, with that feature recently being deprecated, I'm very disappointed now because I have to re-think how I'm going to use Yousician.

SKIP update or UPDATE LATER option
Updating takes a lot of time and often ruins the app on certain windows devices instead of improving it. It takes ages to get a fix (I am talking from experience). Please add a SKIP or UPDATE LATER (whatever you want to call it) button on the little window with progress of sucking the new update. I want to update YS app when I am sure that it works fine on my windows. It should be easy for devs to implement - and will help a lot

big/ small handed style of playing the triditional style may not work for said people.
it appears there is only one style of learning which I assume is the traditional style. but the issue i am having is I have huge hands or "man hands" looking up a few videos on youtube that can be an advantage when playing chords (which trying to learn the traditional style is a nightmare) so why not create a style tailored to people with huge hands? maybe one for people with smaller hands too espically for the electric.

Make your own songs in Yousican
It would be fabulous if we can make our own songs on Yousican. If you also want a chatroom, vote 3 for me and tell others about voting for this idea!

Standalone Yousician tab player without course for creating own song library
Many people miss the user created songs with sync to backing tracks. Why not make standalone tab player with note recognition and synced backing tracks for personal use only.
A lot of intermediate players would like to create their own personal library and might not need the course of leaderboards.
The only alternative with sync of mp3 backing has no note recognition and costs $30. Would be great if Yousician released a similar cut down version for personal use. No sharing of song library or course.
I would use both Yousician and a Yousician tab player.

Connect yousician to a smart tv
Maybe you should make yousician possible connect to a smart tv, you know, a phone or a tablet are very small, and sometimes you don't see very well, but if we could connect the phone with a smart tv through common wifi, it could be a great idea to use the tv like your phone
25 votesHi Yousicians,
Thank you for your suggestions.
While we will not be working to natively support smart tv’s, allow us to remind everyone that Yousician can also be used on desktop devices (Windows and Mac) which have a bigger screen than mobile devices. Desktops can also be connected to tv’s with a HDMI connection available.
Yousician’s system requirements can be found here:

light version switch for mobile devices
Please implement optional LIGHT VERSION app. I love new home screen and all lovely graphics but when you are on the go and especially when you use mobile devices it is really important to manage all resources well. It would be extremely helpful to get an optional Light version switch in settings to switch off all unnecessary ornaments, background animations etc - so that we could load only basic graphics.
24 votesHi,
Thank you for voting.
For the time being, we will not be introducing a light version of the app for mobile devices. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Yousician for Consoles
Both Xbox 360/Xbox One and PS3/PS4 have a camera and mic feature. How about creating a app similar to the one you have on the Computer and having it for the consoles. This way people can practice guitar on there television screen and parents can trick there kids into a learning guitar game with a actual guitar.
78 votesHi Yousicians,
Thank you for voting.
Our team has taken the suggestion into account but, for the time being, there are no plans to make Yousician available on consoles.
The app is currently available for Android, iOS, Mac and Windows devices. You can find more about the current system requirements here:
